I used to think I was long winded I feel better now wink.gif WTF crunchyroll??

xD yeah i talk a lot (usually too much as above) at times and others i say almost nothing. if you havnt tried crunchyroll look at it. good site to view unlisenced anime and its not too bad quality and it gets better if you pay a little money for a pay account. his money costs on it i remember one time shinji (admin) said the prices went WAY up on the servers because he needed a lot more. in 2 months went from 1000 usd per month to over 5000.

I'm definitely a 'anime geek'...I watch ALOT of Gundam, Robotech, Aura Battler Dunbine, Legend Of Crystania, Record Of Lodoss War, Vampire Hunter D, Yukikaze.
All pretty amazing!!!

Not so much into the mangas but more into the full size comics from the late 80's :
Appleseed, Area 88, Robotech.

I recently picked up and watched 'Wolf's Rain' on DVD...anyone seen this or follow the series?
I have the last installment if anyones interested...maybe trade for some tobacco. wink.gif

Otaku checking in.

I actually used to do a lot of DVD Ripping & Fansubbing for the anime community back in 2002/2003. One of my more popular releases was the Cowboy Bebop series through Anime-Xtreme.

Edit: If anyone has not mentioned this yet, One Piece is a great series to follow. Edited by JonDubya

I have that too.

I've watched many-a-series, but currently only follow One Piece and Naruto Shippuuden.  Used to read manga for a lot of them but I don't have the time anymore.  I typically get my stuff off BT, I'm hardly on IRC anymore.

Check out full metal panic and vandread too, both done by gonzodigimation, some of the best mecha fighting I've seen actually, and good storylines to boot.

Hey. I think I might be an anime geek. Hm, yeah, for sure. I realized I'm too bloody lazy to write down all the animes I've watched, am watching or like, so here's a link to my list. I think you can see the wishlist too to see which ones I'm thinking of watching next.

http://anidb.info/u234388

Also, I've read that One Piece is good, but when I read the description, it didn't really appeal to me. What makes this anime so good?

Oh, worth mentioning is an anime I've totally fallen in love with even though I've only seen the first 16 eps out of 47, I think. NANA. It's just so beautiful. And the song at the beginning is awesome. I think it's the only anime that I haven't skipped the opening to. It's kinda for girls, but I think guys will like it too. I never thought I was into the girly animes, but when I started making my list I realized that I've watched quite a few of them. Heh. smile.gif

I didn't care for the look of Vandread...i'll check out FMP though, title sounds good!

Ah, I forgot. Also worth mentioning is FLCL. It's short (6 episodes), so even if you're not crazy about anime you can watch it. It's weird and crazy and chaotic. The soundtrack is wicked. I read somewhere that this anime managed to do in six episodes what others couldn't do in 50. I agree for the most part.

And if you're into sexy girls with guns... Who isn't? Then I'd say watch Noir and Madlax. Madlax more than Noir though 'cause Noir gets a bit annoying especially when the kept repeating a scene with a watch. Just thinking about it annoys me. Haha. And I think Madlax has a better plot, even though I figured it out pretty early on.

Four main things:
1. Great characters & development
2. Great plot (if you like pirates and general anti-gov't schema)
3. Great action
4. It's F&$K@&! HILLARIOUS!!!

Clearly you're wrong, becuase I rock and am always right.... lol

Truthfully, I was worried about that too when I picked it up, the storyline though justifies it, its a little hokey I guess, but its a lot of fun.

I'm a huge fan of Gonzo's animation, some of the best I've seen, and only getting better as it progresses.

Not a huge fan but if I catch an episode every now and then of something new I'll probably be hooked to the series!
A few that I'm a fan of right now:
Bleach - I have to watch this in Japanese with subtitles I really can't stand the english voices
Hellsing - I love this show! I'm trying to find the OVA right now but no luck...
Read or Die/ R.O.D the TV - AMAZING! I watched it a few years back on cartoon network and came across it online last month

Damn. The timing sucks. It's the weekend before elections and I'm in charge of election coverage at my station. I'm going to try to fit it in, though. It sounds like fun, especially the Saturday night smoke...

BTW, for anyone else interested, the web link is www.the-reactor.org. Took me a little while to figure that out laugh.gif

Well, you've convinced me. Haha. Think I'll have to hold off on it though. It's at 318 episodes. Bloody hell.

The sites I use to watch my anime (and other shows).
The anime I've been been watching lately is My-HiMe. I like it quite a bit so far. It's got a very good plot and it just sucked me in.

I've also started to watch Lucky-Star. It's just so random and funny. Like a cartoon version of Seinfeld.

That's a great series, just make sure you get past the middle of it, it gets strange and I almost lost interest, but its well worth watching it all the way through

Just watched Paprika. Pretty good. A bit confusing at times, but definitely worth a watch.

Does anyone else have problems with .mkv files? I have the cccp pack, but still have problems playing the files. Urgh. dry.gif
