sebringer
Hey guys, I'm bloody sick and tired of the rip off prices here in the UK. Many shops are charging £8.99 ($18) a box for crappy, out of date Nakhla double apple tobacco. I can read Arabic and it clearly states on the side of the box that the price is 3.50 Egyptian pounds (£0.30) which means I could buy 30 boxes in Egypt for the same price The UK online sellers aren't much cheaper either.. so does anyone know of some reputable EU (for tax/duty reasons) online sellers with good flavours?Cheers
Johnny_D
In a word. No.the only one i am aware of would be the shisha-world that is based in germany. But they have an issue with the %age of glycarin that is contained within tobacco. (Also UK taxes would apply should the items get stopped in customs)I would find a decent State-Side retailer. I personally use mnhookahs.com to ship international and order #13 is currently awaiting delivery tomorrow.Even with the high shipping costs it works out cheaper. IE: 2 boxes of layalina costs me in the region of £20. Granted it's not technically cheaper, but you can't find some of these brands in the uk...Even al fakir can set you back £15 for 250g's in the uk.JDedit for Clarity
Jamal
Your best option is asking a friend/family member on there trips to the middle east to bring some shisha flavour back with them. Its very rare to find someone who would sell the flavour at the price they bought it abroad as they would not make profit.

stottyb
you mentioned 'out of date nakhla'. Is there anyway you can check the sell by date on it?
Johnny_D
hey stottyb. We can do business probably. I think the only way to tell is to be able to read arabic. I believe that the 'made on' month/year is there somewhere.JD
stottyb
Well i have a number of different flavours, mostly in 50gm boxes so i could sample them before purchasing bigger quantities. I have:50gm boxes of ChocomintCaramelPistachioLemonCardamomSweet MelonOrangeEarl GreyColaCoconutCoffeeJessamineDouble AppleGrapeMargaritaMintNo Flavour (smells horrible!)All the 50gm boxes come out of a larger box of 10x50gm boxes so therefore are not sealed (the original bigger box was)I also have 250gm boxes (sealed) of the following:Single AppleMixed FruitPeachBananaCherryApricotVanillaSome of the boxes got a bit of a beating on the journey over from Egypt but most are perfect. If there's enough interest in the tobacco i can get some more shipped over from Egypt. I can also get hold of El Henawy and El Fakher but my supplier describes the Fakher as the best of the best in egypt and it doesn't come in the fancy packaging. If all the UK members interested would like to contact me about what they would like i'll get back to them as soon as i can with prices (it'll be cheaper than UK online shops that's a promise)

Is there anyway you can check the sell by date on it?Nakhla print the manufacture dates on their boxesIt used to be only in Arabic (the mint one above says Manufactured in 2005) but they've also started to print the dates in English too (Apr 2007) in the case of the Apple box below. stottyb
I've had a look on the boxes and although i do'nt speak arabic the symbols all look the same so i can only assume they were produced in 2005!I've decided to go for £2.50 per 50gm box and £5 per 150gm i think.Any orders are welcome :-D

stottyb
I can confirm that they are all 2005 then. I'm going to save that image as i'm sure it will come in very handy. Thanks for that!

I'm starting to wonder whether it might be worth importing limited shipments from Egypt and the Gulf for my own personal use and also for some of my friends. So for example a box of Nakhla is £0.25 wholesale, nicotine is 0.5% and weight is 50g - how much would I have to pay HM Customs and Excise on each box? Samalolo
Long time lurker here .. :-)The green box says it was made in 2005 and above it, it says Mint Ma'asselThe 2063 number seems to be the company ID registration numberThe red box says Double apple made in April 2007 and underneath it in arabic it says "Good for two years"SamQUOTE (sebringer @ Jun 3 2007, 08:48 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>QUOTE (stottyb @ Jun 3 2007, 03:46 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>you mentioned 'out of date nakhla'.
