hookah hippie
I just bought myself a wind screen hoping that it will add a tad more heat by enclosing the coal over the bowl was I correct to assume that this will happen
Jamal
In theory I guess yes, but it won't make a big difference marginly might make your coal last longer though.
chinamon
i think its more to prevent ashes from flying all over the place
Kae
I've noticed that my coals last considerably longer with the wind guard. Other than that, I haven't noticed anything else...but I'm still pretty nub at all this.
EvansLight
The windscreen will help coal life, unless your in a room with no wind. The more wind or airflow in general in the room your smoking, the faster the coals burn, for the same reason they glow harder when you suck, the air passing over them fans the flames more or less. With the windscreen you have less of that effect, hence longer lasting coals.Plus it does keep things on the hookah, and not everywhere else. A must in high wind
ezie
The windscreen makes your coal burn longer and it also helps with your heat management. But if your shisha taste harsh just take off the windscreen because it's hot and the heat from that and the coal is burning your shisha. If you smoke outdoor a windscreen is a must hehe peace
hookah hippie
Thanks for all the replies so ezie do you think I should use less coals when using my screen?
ezie
Try breaking your QL coal into pieces. The put them on the outer ring of your bowl and work your way to the center of the bowl. It depends if your shisha taste harsh just remove one of the peices. I usually use 2 3kings 33mm and break them into 4 pieces and put my home made windscreen. After about 30 minutes i remove the windscreen so that i don't burn the shisha. I hope this help you in a way or so. And Keep smoking shisha Peace
Scoop
its going to generate a large amount of heat. hard to manage as the wind cover starts to absorb and radiate heat also.
