Hey all, I am leaving for Ecuador tomorrow and I just wanted to know about bringing coals with me. I did a search and didn't find anything about coals specifically. Is it ok to take QL coals with me? What about naturals? Should I put it in my check in or my carry on?

I'm going to be taking my pipe in my carry on, carefully wrapped in clothes, with a tub or 2 of shisha (as suggested by others in other threads).

I hope there aren't any problems, but I couldn't find anything about coals, anyone know?

Actually, there is some information out there. Plenty of it. You either didn't search, or didn't look hard enough. Don't take that the wrong way lol. It's not intended to come across rudely.

You cannot take quick lights on airlines. As for natural coals, someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but, I believe you can take those on airlines.

There's just a few. Hope you find what you're looking for?

no no no, you misunderstood. i said that i had searched, but found nothing specific to coals...

I know they are out there. I have read them. You gotta look in the traveling threads as well, as it still pertains. But as I stated before, no quicklights and natural coals are probably okay. Call the airport and ask them.

LAst time I flew, Homeland security confiscated my quicklight coals and my butane. They left a note saying it had been searched, and sent a letter to my client (who paid for the ticket) a letter detailing what had been taken.
