Ehagen8008 Posted June 9, 2007 Share Posted June 9, 2007 i searched and didnt find much on this subject...my hookah did not come with one and i could really use one as i just keep it sitting in the box it was shipped in with the styrofoam peanuts and all...it works fine but it takes too long to get in/out and is a pain in the butt...but i wasnt about to buy one online and pay for shipping and most of them just seem like nothing more than a duffle bag anyways...so my question...are there any that are worth buying or any designs that people have "rigged" that work well out of a simple bag?? if it helps my hookah is 32"... Ehagen8008 Posted June 11, 2007 Author Share Posted June 11, 2007 i just think my base would break in the plastic storage containers...i dont think that would be bad if i added in some clothes or styrofoam peanuts or something like that for padding...thats really all i am worried about is the glass base...i can find a spot for every other part...i just dont wanna break it...especially since its not necessarily replaceable... Then, take pictures of it and share it with the forum!the more vintage, the better. I've made a few to give to friends who I purchased hookahs for that did not come with carrying cases. my bro Chris also made one for his Wii. Won't be the prettiest, but will function.Reason: my syrians don't come apart and if/when I need to go places with them, I have currently NOTHING to carry them safely. boomhauer Posted June 30, 2007 Share Posted June 30, 2007 if your cheap and need some good foam go to your local hospital. they generally get VERY expensive equipment sent in every few days-week or two. due to the cost of those pieces they are in a fairly big block of high density foam which they will just throw away. you can try asking some hospital staff and some will be more than happy to help you if its a slow day. also its a great place to get boxes if your moving as they are also just thrown away. luckily my parents work in the business so they can just take the foam when equipment comes in and i get to use it for whatever i want.
