HookaholicDOTcom
Well the best Tobacco or Shisha brands, in my opinion, are StarBuzz and Al Fakher....Best Charcoal is "3 Kings"

hookahlife
Welcome to the forums.Tobacco's and coals are very subjective. Starbuzz, Al Fakher, Havana, Layalina are the most popular premium tobacco's. Al Waha, Al Amir and Nakhla are popular standard tobaccos.Regarding charcoals: If you like ease of use go with Quick lights like Three Kings. If you want to minimize the coals affect on the shisha, but don't want natural coals go with Easy Light Japanese style coals. If you want the most natural and authentic taste go with naturals. All of the vendors that participate on this forum offer discounts ranging from 10-15%. Just perform some searches on the sites TX gave you and you should be able to find them. For Hookah Life just use the code: hookahfrm1 at checkout and get 15% Off (http://www.hookah-life.com). The deal on hookahhub is roughly the same as every were else online. They are charging $26 for 3 x 250 jars. This is about $9 a jar. But they don't offer a discount like the other vendors on this forum.Hope this helps.

ezie
Give Alfakher and Layalina a shot and i heard good things about Starbuzz. Best coal in my opinion is 3 kings and Natural Coal. If you want a good buzz than try Nahkla or Tangiers. Peace and welcome to the forum smidge
Allia22
Please remember that what people tell you on here is purely personal preference and suggestion, and if you're not careful this hobby can suck your wallet dry FAST. That being said, I prefer 3K 40mms, a small funnel bowl, AF tobacco, and 2 layers of foil
The King
I really, REALLY reccomend StarBuzz.... especially for a new smoker. It is really easy to get heat management right, smokes with big white clouds, and the flavor is amazing.... BUT, its $20 a jar. but if you can afford it buy it, its great. For coals use golden quick lights or 3kings are alright too
MAKCuMG
SocialSmoke.com has deals like that on Starbuzz, Layalina, Al Fakher, as well as the rest of the stuff they carry. Plus they give the 15% dicount with code "hookahforum".Hope this helps =)
cemab4y
I prefer the "Japanese" type coals. You need a "blowtorch" type of lighter, but they burn slow and evenly, and have zero taste. As to types of tobacco, that is all a matter of taste. I prefer mint flavors, as they are very cool to smoke. My favorite unflavored tobacco is "Zaghloul", an egyptian brand. You can experiment, and find out which flavor you prefer. You need not spend a lot of money on hookahs and tobacco. My brother lives in Syracuse NY, and he pays $7.50 a pack for cigarettes. When you compare the cost of hookah tobacco, with what you can spend on cigarettes, hookah tobacco is much more economical. Also, a good hookah will last indefinetly, with proper care. Brierwood pipes disintegrate after some years. I suggest that you obtain some additional bowls, and rotate them for smoking, giving each bowl a day or two to "rest". You may also wish to try adding crushed ice to the water reservoir, to chill the smoke. I found ice trays at a novelty shop, that freezes the ice into 5/8 inch balls, which are just right for the neck of a medium hookah. The balls "dance" and clatter with a very pleasing sound, when you pull smoke through the hookah.

billy
What do you think Mint + Cherry would taste like??? (AF)
cemab4y
Mint Cherry, should be a good mix. I recommend you use half a bowl of each. Place the different tobacco in your bowl, then gently mix them together. Light your charcoal and see how it tastes.
Jamal
Do about a 65% cherry and 35% mint, and it would taste alright I guess.
leadpipecinch21
cherry mint is one of my favorites. i do about 3 parts cherry to one part mint, but i've never been one for the overpowering side of mint, so i just like to have it as a subtle, cool touch to compliment the other flavor...Also, since you're looking for specials with big tubs, i'd recommend the layalina deal that socialsmoke.com has...layalina is a quality tobacco that's pretty light on the pocket, but still smokes very well, and is one of the tastier brands(in my opinion) out there...definitely good stuff.
