Thick Smoke?

Recommended Posts

Im having trouble to get big thick clouds with my Mya Bambino, I tried the bowl that came with it and the Medium Phunnel bowl but still had the same ammount of smoke.

Mya Bowl : 2 Easy Light Jap coals

Med Phunnel Bowm : 2 Easy Light Jap coals

Shisha : AF Double Apple

Foil : 1 Layer of foil, small holes all around and a medium one in the middle

Im going to have another try with Smiley's Shisha ( in the freezer at the mo )

Any suggestions?

Try adding some glycerine just one spoonful thats should give you clouds of smoke. Btw try using QL first maybe it's just your heat management. Just heard that Japanesse coal are not hot enough but i maybe wrong and way thats just my tip. BTW don't put your shisha in the freezer it will froze the juices and the glycerine. Hope you have a great session later smile.gif peace

You can buy glycerine at the farmacy or just try your luck with the QL. My QL are not branded one but i does give me a cloud of smoke minus the harsh taste. Try breaking the QL into half and put them on the outer edge of the bowl and work your way to the center. I don't have a funnel so i don't know how it works but i've read that you poke a ring of circle on the outer edge and one hole in the middle. And windscreen helps with the heat management just put it for 10-20 minutes and when it's too harse just remove the windscreen. I hope this helps

After you light up your QL make sure it's glwing red and it's starting to give white ash. Just leave it for a minute or two on the bowl and take quick puff. Lol i don't have a windscreen but i made one out of a coca cola can it sure work like a charm. There's a topic on how to make a windscreen on the How to fun house section. Hope this helps

ezie, im not trying to say you dont know what you're talking about, but..

2 japanese coals on a standard mya bowl is ideal.
but i saw the a big ol problem from the first post:

TAKE YOUR F-ING SHISHA OUT OF THE FREEZER!
Fridge/Freezer is for food, not for shisha.

Having said, im sure most people here will agree with me on this:

1. Unless your shisha is so dry it is crumpling, you dont need to add glycrerine. Adding glycerine will dilute the flavor currently in the tobacco, as you will be creating smoke without flavor.

2. The funnel bowl takes a bit of trickery to get down, wait until you have your hookah smoking well with the standard mya bowl.

3. If with the standard mya bowl and 2 japanese coals on you're not getting enough smoke, then perhaps your hookah is not airtight?
Put your hookah together (Minus bowl and water), and put your hand over the top (where the bowl connects). Try to pull from the hose.
If you can get any air through the hose with your hand on top, something isn't sealed right, and will dilute your smoke with air.

4. If it is airtight, and you're using a standard mya bowl with 2 japanese easylights (try em pushed together in the middle, but you will burn it soon), and your shisha has not been refridgerated or frozen, and you're still not getting any smoke. Try a 3rd coal.

THEN try the glycerine.
Adding glycerine should only be done when the tobacco will not smoke without burning. Edited by Calcartman

Actually, Smiley suggested that if we weren't getting any flavor with his shisha we should stick it in the freezer for a couple days so the tobacco would soak up some of the glycerine/flavors. Couldn't save my tub of cherry, but oh well.

Really? thats rather odd, as freezing would remove whatever water did not freeze, and make the shisha drier.
Even my bag of fumari says not to.
