lazria
spackle? as in "drywall" repair mud? I don't see it being deadly, but as to watertight??? As soon as your wash out your hookah it might disolve, then you'd be back to sqare 1.As silly as it sounds, try a very small piece of duct/duck tape. Better as waterproofing and does work (I've done it before). If the crack is large, I would looking something alittle more watertight for long term use. Maybe something like Hot gule (non-toxic). Make sure whatever you use is NON-TOXIC and heat safe
hookah hippie
I forget to mention that the outer core of the abyss stem is made out of woodand there is a metal shaft in side of itI think that only the outer shell is cracked

hookah hippie
It is hard to explain without a cameranevermind about the shaft it self not being crackedi can see itbut the outershell isn't completely airtight until i put the spackle on it now the shaft is airtight again so i think it will still workon a side question lazria you think the spackle will disolve when wet?? Allia22
Pretty sure it would dissolve. Hot glue may look ugly and may seep into the stem a bit, but once it's dry it won't do too much except plug the crack. I fear your wooden stem is going to start rotting as it's pretty impossible to keep every bit of water from touching it at this point. Thompson's Water Sealer on the outside? *shrug*
hookah hippie
Thanks for the help I used the hot glue and its airtight
3rooker
Spackling will desolve. If the hot glue doesn't last, epoxy will. It's like a long-term temporary fix. If that makes sense at all? lolTX
