Send me a PM or something. I live like 20 minutes from Sac, and I can point you in some directions. There is a nice little med. grocery store in Sac that I used to buy all my stuff from, great selection and very nice people.

When you come up to norcal, i live here, about half an hour from san francisco.
If you go to telegraph avenue in berkeley, you will see a lot of smoke shops and undoubtedly get a lot of business, but be prepared for very um, interesting, owners.
I've yet to meet a pleasant smokeshop/hookah salesman there in the last 3 years.

Anyways, I still have not yet gotten a chance to try tangiers but I'd really like to, I hear its great stuff. And yes, I would most definitely buy it if a retailer nearby had it in stock. I know I can get it online but eh, sometimes thats just a hassle.. I hate waiting for shipping.

Weeelll, think about an ink stain with the name Tangiers embossed on it...Whats the fastest way for it to cover the US (I'll get to the Isles later, cheers!)? Start one stain in SD, obviously, that travels north and East. Where do we put the other one? It would travel west and south...New York-Philadelphia seems to be the hub of that end. I already have a good dealership in Philadelphia, I wanted to build on it. Pennsylvania also has no excise taxes. My sister, whom I love very much, lives in NE Ohio and I would like a great excuse to come through that way. Much of my mothers family is in Michigan...I just feel comfortable out there with family a state away.

I am amenable to looking at Britain, too. Jamal, do you smoke Tangiers?

The fact that you like or want to smoke Tangiers is important...I will reward you for your help in tobacco, maybe phunnels or take you out to dinner...maybe cash.

I think that California can be split up thusly:

1. San Diego-Orange County
2. Los Angeles Main-Ventura
3. Los Angeles East-San Bernardino-Riverside-Palm Springs (I-10 corridor)
4. Bakersfield-Santa Barbara
5. San Fransisco-Oakland-San Jose
6. Fresno-Visalia-Madera
7. Sacramento-Davis
8. Chico-Redding (and all points north)

I want to focus my efforts in areas with guys like you who want to get Tangiers on the shelves of your local stores. Plus factors are number of stores and number of you all. I want to pave the way a little first and then blow in with samples, free stuff and sales calls.

Where is everybody located? How many stores that sell maasel (or want to) are there near you?

Tried Tangiers Vanilla/ Peach both amazing, compliments out to the chef. Would have tried more flavours but the duties you pay are a bomb. My friends enjoyed it too, shame we only had enough for a few bowls.

Problem is us U.K folk, are looking for decent priced shisha with flavours such as yours, but there seems to be nothing that meets that criteria.

around my area (UCLA) there is a cigar shop that sells hookahs, a couple headshops, and a liquor store that sells mix.

there are also 4 hookah bars in a 1 mile radius.

in the valley there are many more stores that sell all that stuff

Well, the Amish definitely do smoke, (its kinda cool late summer when the tobacco fields are full)

There is a great smoke shop ripe for the plucking on a (my old) college campus maybe 15 mins from home, they sell coals and evidently Pharoah's Brand tobacco (I just hung up with them actually).

Also a benefit that its on a college campus, (and maybe 15-20 mins from 2-3 others, plus lancaster city, and not that much further from York PA too) so during the school year a great place to find new converts.

I'm in Montgomeryville/Lansdale/North Wales -- about 40 minutes outside of Philly. There are some tobacco stores, mostly cigar shops, though I'm only familiar with one of them (my younger brother is pretty close with the owners.) There is a lounge ("Little Marakash" in Dresher) which only carries Nakhla, but from what I understand the owner has a taste for Tangiers. One forum member (TCNJHookah) frequently brings Tangiers to the lounge and said the owner is crazy about it. However, I asked him if he approached the owner about carrying Tangiers and he said he did -- I forget why, but the owner was not interested. I could try asking him again, but I'm thinking it'd be easier with tobacco shops.

West Philly suburbs. You probably would want to stay close to Philly, if you want customers. West philly is a good bet because you've got Penn and Drexel there, alongside thousands of other Philadelphians.

Honestly if you want a good market to hit I'd go for seattle, especially the UW area. There are more smoke shops than restaurants around there, and a lot of hookah going on.

But personally I would love if you could hit up the Boston area. Theres one Armenian(I think..) grocery in Watertown called Arax that has a HUGE shisha and hookah selection, literally a wall of each. Also, I'm sure there are more shisha-selling stores in urban Boston. Arax would be a great entering point though, as lots of people (Me!) go there to get shisha and would try yours. Thoughts?

Glad to hear you're swinging by Santa Barbara. I'm going there in the Fall for school (UCSB). While passing through Los Angeles, swing by Glendale. It's just north of LA and literally 45% of the population living there is Armenian. Lebanese Armenian, Persian Armenian, Russian Armenian, Armenia Armenians. The prevalence of hookah is amazing, every household has one. My parents use my hookah too even! (I'm KOREAN). There are cig stores everywhere and where I live, there are three within a very close proximity. (I live in La Crescenta, just north of Glendale. Montrose, the city below La Crescenta, has two close to each other and La Crescenta has one too). For names of these places or anything else, PM me

I want to focus on the home market, tobacco shops, etc. I'm not excited about pursuing lounges. If they ask me to dance, on the other hand, hehehehehe!

Here's a little real live content:

If you have a Mya or other common chamber hookah (the bell of the shank is hollow and the vent and hose port are screwed directly on there), its very important to keep that inner chamber clean. Its very difficult to keep it immaculate . Despite all the washing and using vinegar and lemon juice, you still need a brush to get your central tube clean...such as it is with the common chamber. Cleaning it is one thing. Brushing it is altogether different.
