chubbleton
Hey there,I just got my Vortex last weekend! I am so absolutely pleased with it; it is overall a very beautiful piece. The stem is very nice, fits together well, and is easy to clean. My vase was actually cracked when it arrived in the mail, which was disappointing, though it is going to be replaced. I had hoped that the vase was going to be thicker glass (more like my SS Egyptian), but it's beauty makes me want to baby it regardless. It smokes extremely well (Tangiers Strawberry at the moment), though if this is your first hookah, I highly recommend that you pick up an extra bowl (phunnel) at time of purchase. The one that it comes with is not too nice.I got a nicer hookah than I was expecting, and I only wish the glass was a tad thicker.Hope this helps!Chubbleton
ydnaHnairB
nothing bad to say, except that i dislike the color of mine. they said dark blue and it was more purple...smokes like a dream though. it was my first hookah

I was looking to get this one as my first, but I don't want a delicate base...
chubbleton
I would say that this is a thin base, thinner than a glass Sobe bottle or the like in some spots. I am interested to see how thick the replacement vase is going to be, I will definately give y'all an update.txhookahman, what do you have to say about the thickness of your Vortex base? I have read many rave reviews of yours about the Vortex, and I would like to hear your opinion!I hope this has helped, and thanks txhookahman!Chubbleton

3rooker
My vase wasn't that thin. It was actually nice. Get it, you won't be disappointed!TX
chubbleton
I had suspected that this specific vase design lends itself to being more prone to thinness than others, but that I was (hopefully) the exception. Thanks for the input txhookahman!Clickhea, I hope you love your new hookah!Chubbleton
3rooker
A local lounge here uses almost the same exact pipes as the Vortex. They are sturdy and smoke like they are going out of style.TX
