jaxxx123
I been storing mine in the fridge, jw if thats a good way to store shisha or not.
EvansLight
For the most part, no its not. I store mine either in the tub it comes in, ziploc freezer bags, or gladware containers. Anything with a good seal. My baccy sits in the corner under a blanket, where it stays room temp all year long, around 75f.

3rooker
I store mine in the origional containers. Usually in yet another larger air-tight storage bin so I can store all my shisha in one bin.I have been wondering though, can you store it in glass jars with metal lids? Like a washed out salsa jar? Would that work?TX

Also a salsa jar, no matter how well washed out, might still contain enough flavor in it to taint your tobacco XD And salsa strawberry tobacco.... 3rooker
Actually, it was guacamole dip lol. Even worse. But yea I also forgot about these things I use sometimes called Lock&Lock. Air-tight, water-tight, food cotainers. I use them as a dry box when I go fishing.www.locknlock.com TX

3rooker
It seems everyone keeps their shisha in their closet, with their hookah. Why do so many of us put the hookah in the closet?TX
Calcartman
I keep mine in their original tubs,or if the tubs suck or it comes in bags,i put it in a Ziploc 1gal freezer bag (with the 2 piece ziploc) - Squish it all to the bottom, roll it to get the air out. Those go in a big grey storage container in the garage, next to my car. Akkbar
mine is in little glass spice contaners with plastic screw-on lids. they hold about 70g each, which is nice because i like to try new flavours. the best flavours have their own dedicated jar... after smoking a new shisha, me and my buddies decide if it's "jar worthy", and if so, we label the jar and thats its new home.EDIT: if it's not jar worthy, then its ziploc worthy. Except for Taru, which was garbage worthy.my soon-to-be wife (this saturday!) got me a cool jar with a glass lid and silicone seal. the lid is attached with a metal hinge and clamp. I originally used it for my cavendish, but now it holds my tangiers. i prefer storing shisha in glass. you can see it, and it doesnt retain odours if you decide to use it for something else.and I dont store it in the closet; its on the coffee table, displayed along with my pipes and hookahs. my closet has big spiders dwelling in it... jordanneff
I store mine in a large dark, cool, temperature and humidity controlled airtight area in my basement as to not disturb the smallest molecular construction of my shisha.....jkHonestly, any half decent tupperware container or even a ziplock baggie works fine for me and many others. leadpipecinch21
unless the shisha comes in a quality tub, i put it in smaller ziplock bags with the flavor written on them, and then have them all piled in to mason jars...the ziplock bags normally do a nice job on their own, but having all of the shisha in one spot, and all of the flavors together, it's easy to just grab the bottle and go, rather than tossing all of the bags into a bigger bag... lazria
I use standard tupper ware things, zip-locks on the outside of some becasue they aren't as air-tight as I want. Al Waha gets stored in it's tubs. The dollar store owes me stock considering how much crud i get there LOLGetting a few old pharo jars and tend to re-use other shisha containers (Hookah-hookah, AW)But my hookahs and all assorted supplies (shisha, coals, ect) live in/on this wooden nightstand we (bf and I) bought orginially as a TV stand for our 51" DLP... replaced w/ glass stand and now it's become a hookah display stand (nestled safely bwt 2 bookcases)no closets for me - i have 2 in the whole apt - space is a premium and why would I want to HIDE my hookahs? (but i understand why people would want to)

indy
Damn, I've been storing mine in the fridge too. Guess its time to stop. Do you consider the jars that Nakhla comes in to be good enough on its own? Edited June 19, 2007 by indy

The fabulous Ian
I picked up a set of glass "Condiment Jars" from Ikea, it was five jars for something like three bucks, and they each hold a little less than 100g each, so I keep those for display purposes, or for my favorite tobaccy to have at arm's reach. The rest of it stays in the original containers, which then go inside plastic freezer bags, and they all go inside my nightstand. I think as long as they're kept at a constant room temperature, airtight (very important) and out of intense light, they should be fine for up to... what, six months is the standard now possibly maybe? tj154906
Gladware and plastic bags always get the job done for me. I have 2 dresser drawers for my stuff and my hookah sits on top. Love it.
