With much respect, Tex, but I can't stand Bud Light or Budweiser. I like Guinness, Heineken, Boulevard, Pilsner Urquell, Budvar/Czechvar, and Sam Adams... but I'll drink bud light if nobody has the above mentioned beverages. Edited by Big Boss

Blue Moon
Belle's Pale Ale
Shiner Bock (Thanks for the introduction to my love, Scalliwag!)
Newcastle

And when I am looking for a 40oz to cheapness, Steel Reserve!

Just a sample of what I like and why my belly is huge.

Rolling Rock and Yuengling.

Right on with the yuengling, Sam Addams is good (and if you are ever in Boston do the brewery tour!) but barring those, coors light, its like water that makes you drunk.

Honestly though I am far more of a tequila drinker wink.gif

Erica, I believe you accidentaly hit the "t" instead of the "n". NASTY, not TASTY lol. bleh. It's like drinking liquified corn chips.

I'm a HUGE Killians fan. It's actually kinda hard to find out here in CA =[

I also like Kona Longboard. It's a microbrew from HI, and has Kona coffee in it, with a small amount of caffeine, and a slight dark roast floavor, which goes surprisingly well with beer-flavor.

As far as cheap beer, I'll go as low as Corona. I refuse to drink anything out of a can, tho, lol wink.gif

This could take a while...

In the summer, if I'm sitting outside in the sun I enjoy Rolling Rock or maybe Honey Brown. Year round, I'm a fan of Harp, Newcastle, Stella, a Bud if I'm not feeling fancy, or Yuengling if I'm home from school. Maybe Grolsch to mix it up now and then. As far as dark beers go, Sam Adams makes a great one called Black Lager. I like Beck's Dark a lot too. I'm not a fan of Guinness though, it always seems flat to me. My two favorite wheats are Paulaner Hefe-Weizen and Franziskaner. I've never been a big fan of Mexican beer, but that leads me to my ultimate point, which is that I'll drink anything that someone puts in my hand. I drink way too much Natty and Keystone on a regular basis to be all that particular about what I drink.

And Kae, I like Killians a lot too. It's a good whenever beer.

Keystone FTW. I pretty much hate tasteless, cheap beer, but when you are already feeling good keystone keeps the party going for only pocket change.
BIG Killians, Amber Bock, and Boddingtons fan. Been trying Sweet Water Georgia Brown and Sweet Water Hummer lately (its brewed in Atlanta so its common around here), and its pretty good. Edited by Hannibal

Yuengling is great but they don't sell it here
Blue Moon Summertime Wheat absolutely rocks. People put orange slices in it but I have found that slithers of fresh apricot are better
Rahr's Summer Wheat I put right up with Blue Moon but that is local to here
Rahr's Bucking Bock is my favorite bock
Shiner Bock is a close second
Amber Bock is pretty good and what I keep on tap in my kegerator since it is the only thing I can find in a 1/6 keg here.

Of course my homemade "Schoonerbock" really rocks but it is from a kit so I can't take a lot of credit on it. I am working on a recipe for a wheat with apricot after having enjoyed the Blue Moon experiment.
All this talk of beer makes me wanna say ARRRRR!!!! So ARRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

In no particular order:

BRITISH:
Newcastle
Samuel Smith's India Pale Ale, Nut Brown Ale, Winter Welcome Ale, Oatmeal Stout
Old Speckled Hen (Morley's)
Boddington's
Tetley's
Cobra (although in the US you can only get the stuff brewed in Canada)

GERMAN:
Paulaner Octoberfest

BELGIAN ALES (These are generally stronger than most beers and ales, between 7 and 9%):
Affligem
Duvel
Chimay
Corsendonk
Maredsous

INDIAN:
Taj
Haywards 5000 (another "strong" beer)

By no means a comprehensive list, just what I could think of off the top of my head.

Hey JD, have you ever had Krait beer? I had it once in the UK, but the stuff you get over here is brewed in the Czech Republic...

Here in New England I think regional and local craft beers are the way to go:

Smuttynose:
Lager, Robust Porter, Shoals Pale Ale

Harpoon:
IPA, UFO, Munich Dark, Brown Session, Rasberry UFO all the 100 Barrel Series

Magic Hat:
#9, HiPA, Hocus Pocus

Long Trail:
Ale, Double Bag, Blackbeary Wheat

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (ok not local)

mmmm tasty

I'd forgotten about amber bock! When I lived in GA, that was pretty much all I drank when I went out...out here, all I can find that is close is Shinerbock, which isn't too b ad, but it's not quite the same.
