yashman19
So I was running some errands for my parents yesterday, and was real close to my local Medeteranian Market where I get my supplies from, so I decided I'd go in and take a look at their hookahs. I had already been interested in getting a new hookah, one specifically which had a large chamber. My Stargate hits really well, but I noticed I couldn't get quite as much smoke as my friends single hose large chamber hookah. So I took a look and found one of their largest chamberd single hose hookahs they carry. I smoked out of it last night, and was really impressed. It hits like a champ, and I never had a problem with too much heat and burning. My only complaint about this hookah is the unnecessary decorative chains which hang from the tray. They look nice but get in the way of cleaning. So not a big deal as I can just take them off. Here are a few more pictures: As you can see in this picture, this thing is huge! I don't know the exact measurements, but I know that the Stargate is 26", and this thing looks to be roughly 34-36". I'll try to get some action shots in the near future and follow up. mushrat
She's a beaut! Cool that you were able to find a brass wind cover. Smoke her in good health!
yashman19
Ohh yeah, the wind cover came with it, but the bowl it came with was kinda poopy, but I have 5 other bowls I can use. And also the hose it came with was one of those hoses covered with string all over it, which makes it look shaggy. I didn't care because I never use any form of a hookah hose. I always use Home Depot plastic/rubber type of tubing which lets in more smoke, washable, and incredibly cheaper than real hookah hoses.
cypress
Nice hookah but good luck keeping it clean.
mushrat
Is the extra wide area under the tray a chiller?
yashman19
Nice hookah but good luck keeping it clean.
Actually, it's 10x easier to clean than my Stargate, which I have to completely take it apart in order to clean it properly and its in like 6 main pieces. This new beast is hard to get water into the stem because it doesn't fit in my sink, but I have one of those extender sink nozzles which can get a water down it. And no Mush, those are just fance curves that go out. Wish it was a chiller. But the nice thing about the HUGE chamber, I can fit a whole ice tray full of ice plus some into it, and it does the trick.

yashman19
Ahh, I've never dealt with brass hookahs before. What can I expect with my brass hookah Cypress? Does it rust? Thanks for the heads up regardless though
cypress
Water makes brass a dull yellow and sometimes tarnishes. I have to clean my brass one once a month with some silverware cleaner.

mushrat
If you decide lemon joice isn't enough, here is a great German polish called Wenol. I used to get it at cookware shops and hardware stores, works wonders. I ran into an American equivilant once, same pink color and smell, but I can't remember what it was called off hand. alen
ive seen that here in sweden so thanks for the tip - i tried the lemon but i think ill need something stronger beacuse the lemon didnt really do it for me(think i must give my hookah a little more love and care more often)my problem is that i have some strange ingraving on mine -i have the syrian engineering hookah (the same that hookah and shisha central selling)that makes it really hard to get a good polish take care Alen
yashman19
Wow, thanks for all the tips. I think I can see what you guys are talking about of the discoloration on my downstem. I'll have to pick up some of these cleaning supplies soon.
mushrat
dear evil swede, I've used wenol on some very intricate stuff. It requires no actual hard rubbing or buffing and for the tight stuff a cotton swab cn actually exert enough force to do a nice clean and polish job. Its as close to a wipe on/wipe off metal cleaner/polish as I've found for everything bug SEVERE corrosion. Now I'm feeling like I'm neglecting my Raven...off the the store. *sigh*
