tj154906
I couldn't view it either. Anyway, congrats man, that's pretty good stuff. I can imagine that the time right after marriage is pretty fantastic, I'm looking forward to it myself.
ghostofdavid
The Story:Last Weekend, I married the most wonderful lady I could ever wish for!!!This is something I wrote a few months ago detailing how we met! Some people say that “internet dating” could never work BUT ….Well…Read on!!!This is how I met my WIFE, Michelle. My ex-wife and I separated in January of 2006. So I have been on my own since then. My friend, Ted, had been telling me about a internet dating site he was on, Match.com, I had not wanted to DATE anyone seriously so I kinda blew off everything he had told me about it UNTIL one evening in April 2006 when I was “surfin’ the net” and noticed an ad for MATCH.COM that I could search profiles on by age and location, for some reason I clicked on it and searched through about 15 pages of 25 profiles on each page and wrote down 3 profile names, Purely based on a 1 inch square picture and about 5 or 6 words of their profile.I had emailed my friend, Ted, and asked him if I could “piggyback” off him and have him email these 3 ladies for me, He agreed and did, he called me a few hours later and said "one lady had emailed him back saying thanks and was gonna email me".I soon received an email from MICHELLE, we exchanged a few emails, realizing we had a lot of the same interests, I asked what she was near in Highland Heights and she responded back with "NKU", of which I was close to also, we continued chatting and I soon asked for a another picture so I could put a face with the name.I received a few pictures back and this is where it gets weird ( in a good way) I saw her pictures and soon realized how close she lived, you see, I am a maintence man for an apartment complex in Highland Heights, where I know everyone who lives here and upon getting Michelle’s pictures, I saw here car, which is an eye catcher alone, and realized she also lived here, she had just moved in a month before and even though I knew her car I had never met her.Upon telling her who I was we realized just how odd this was. We chatted via email the next day, the same day I received a call from my “soon to be ex wife” wanting to talk about working things out, I had asked Michelle out for that weekend but she had plans already, so in all the confusion I had quit emailing Michelle and spent a week with the EX trying to sort out problems, We both agreed that we couldn’t do it so she walked out of my life again, bringing me closure.I couldn’t get Michelle out of my mind that Sunday afternoon, so I sat down and wrote her an apology for not emailing for over a week, I felt I needed to do it Personally and also Professionally. I spilled everything to her and received an email back stating that she understood since she was going through at similar situation and was also down in the dumps, so we made plans to “hang out that day and cry on each other’s shoulder’s”.I picked her up about an hour later ( this was our meeting for the first time) And went to Sawyer Point in Cincinnati, Ohio and sat and talked for a few hours. I soon got a emergency call for work and we had to leave, I told Michelle that I would love to see her again that night and she responded with “ I would love too”. I picked her up about 2 hours later ( which seemed liked forever) and went out that night, we had a wonderful time never talking about the past relationships. Upon waking up the next day all I could think of was MICHELLE, we exchanged more emails that day and she asked me to go to a grill out with her, I said YES and I realized where how this was going to go!!!!!I never thought I would never date someone I worked with, or in my case, where I worked but I feel like since we didn’t meet at work and that God works in mysteriously ways that we meet this way for a reason. So thanks to the internet, Ted, and God I have met the most wonderful Lady in the world!!!!!It is so much fun to re-read that, I never get tired of telling people “Our Story”Its been well over a year now! And what a amazing, fun relationship. We have now MARRIED ( June 9th, 2007) and it is going wonderfully!!!Mark Milner
