hookah hippie Posted June 19, 2007 Share Posted June 19, 2007 I purchased a new stem today and as opposed to my old one it had 4 holes on the bottom surrounding the main pipe my old one has two can someone explain what the difference between using a 4 instead of a 2. Pros cons..ThanksBy the way it is a single hose stem There are better pipe experts here than I (paging Dr. Sonthert), but I think this means you can buy screw in adapters which will turn your one hoser into a three or four hoser. Could be a standard body that they just crank out and then put different number f ports on. Is it a traditional egyptian or a modern mya type? HH, try blocking two of them off with some tape and see if it pulls any different. Interestingly, my new syrian one-hoser has THREE holes ! Go figure. If there are no matching ports on top, then it was probably just a mass produced plate used for all that brand's hoookahs, regardless of # of hoses. Good call.
