Best Shisha

So after one of the best nights at the local hookah hangout I've ever had, some friends and I decided it would be really a great idea to have a hookah party of our own, seeing as how between us all we own some unique and damn good pieces. We're all to sit around, drink, talk and introduce our numbers to what each of us feels is shisha really worth trying. My problem is that I'm really hung up on what to bring, since I'm only just beginning my journey through the flavours.

My normal day-to-day smoke is Nakhla, as is the case for most of the group I smoke with, but the flavours have never been that pronounced for me. A great smoke for the money you pay, but it's not... oomph-worthy, y'dig? It's got no razzamatazz.

Starbuzz, on the other hand, has been the best I've ever had, and Fusion's been on par with it. Not as much of a buzz, but amazing in the flavor-delivery and smoke density departments.

I'll be smoking with experianced hookahteers as well as noobs, so I want something that's really flavourful, enjoyable, not terribly harsh and gives towards the upper-scale of clouds. Price isn't an object, as I'll only be needing one 250g pack.

My instincts are leaning towards Starbuzz, but it's been a while since I've ordered from them there've been enough posts about their quality going downhill to make me worried. My second thought is Fusion, but my experiance with them has been very limited, though I've liked what I've had.

I'd love to hear some oppinions on what, price being disregarded, is the best smoke they've ever had, shisha-wise. Disregarding coals (we'll be using everything from quicklights to naturals), screens (We'll have everything from foil to glass) and base mix (pure water and ice), what's the best smoking shisha out there?

Well your leaning down a good road going with Starbuzz and i would have to say my favorite is White Grape. Also i have become a big fan of Fumari's, there all good but my fav is jello. Let us know how it turns out.

Firstly, I hope the rumors of the quality of starbuzz declining are untrue, as I just ordered three tubs . Secondly, shisha preferences are very subjective. I may hate something that you love. Sonthert once said that he may enjoy inhaling battery acid, which to me, sounds rather unpleasant. That being said, I can tell you which brand I feel fits your criteria. I think you'll be happy with a tub of Al-Fakher. It usually has pretty great flavor and clouds, and a decent buzz. That's what I'd go with.

Give Al fakher and layalina a try you'll love it. Try the mint and strawberry from AF and Rasberry from layalina. It's worth your money and layalina and AF are very moist shisha and give you huge clouds of smoke if you can manage the proper heat manahgement. Peace have a nice day

Best smoke shisha wise was from Nakhla Cappuccino and from Al Fakher Golden Strawberry. Got mediocre smoke from Nakhla and INSANE smoke from the AFG, smoke was so thick that I coudlnt even see the stem in the vase, the smoke was that thick...

Layalina is very good i cant believe i forgot to mention it in my last post but i recently smoked passion fruit which is a 9 out of 10 and mangosteen which also ranks up there. Edited June 19, 2007 by MNH

Im pretty much a big fan of anything strawberry... most of my friends enjoy strawberry as well...

Personally, I'm a big fan of Hookah-Hookah shisha for everyday use. I really like the flavors and the finer cut smokes really well for me. For a treat or when I want something stronger I will smoke Tangiers.

AF is always a good choice, but I have enjoyed my last purchase of fumari, been a year since I have had it, but they seemed to changed their recipe, it is much better and more consistant than it was, but I do not like the new ziplock containers, I wish they stayed with their little tubs

Really, it all comes down to personal preferrence. Try as many different brands as you can and pick the one that works the best for your taste and smoking style. Experimentation is key. While everyone here is full of great advice, there is really no substitute for experience.

I'd just like to thank everyone for their advice, this is definitely one of the friendliest forums on the net.

At this point, I'm down to either Fusion, Layalina and Starbuzz. I think I might get one can of SB and one container of Layalina, though for the flavors I've got to check with everyone on to see how the preferences run.

And yes, I know I've got to get out there and experiment more and that everybody's got different tastes, but that's what I'm counting on. I want to hear what YOU think, personally, is the best that you yourself have had on your own. :3 I just need some quick advice since the party will probably happen before I run out of the store of shisha I've already got. Since I only have sessions once or twice a week, my jazz lasts forever. The downside? I have the same stuff... forever.

But thanks to everyone for their responses so far, it's been exceedingly helpful.

i just ordered a tub of passionfruit recently...only have smoked it once and was a little drunk...so my senses and memory are definitely screwed up...but it was the best ive had yet...i remember the smell (and just refreshed my memory and its still that good) but i dont remember the taste being half as good as the smell....it smells like strawberry bubbalicious bubble gum...i wanted to eat it...but it just didnt taste that way for some reason....maybe that was my drunkenness i dont know...it was still good but ill give it another try and let you know...

but i saw you post that passion was one of your favorites in a different thread and i got it and it was great...thanks...
