yashman19
I use Nour fingers on a regular basis, and that LOOKS like the same type of packaging mine come in, so I would have you say you should be safe.
wyteboy
ok thanks yashman! anyone else? I'll order tomorrow, but one more person saying it's the same would make me feel better when I wake up chime in on my af review thread or the re-review thread...curious what you think! wyteboy
it's a shame that southsmoke has such bad reviews because their screens are $2 less each than hookahshisha, their nour coal bag is $1 less and I could get a $2.95 50g of AF grape from them too.... but all the bad reviews of their site make me nervous, even though I have had several very customer-service oriented emails sent my way when I registed but had yet to order anything.... grrrrrrrrr. Mathazar
Yes, those ARE Nour Coal, I've ordered them from Hookah-Shisha in the past. As great as Nour Coal are, just be aware wyteboy that like the Lemonwood Coals, you're still going to have to dig your hand in that bag and handle charcoal. It's not quite as messy as Lemonwood, but they ARE black dusty coals. What I've done in the past is poured-out onto a plate the amount of Nours that I'll need for several sessions and then I break them all in half and use the tongs to carry them over to the stove. You're not going to be able to use a lighter on Nour, you'll absolutely need an electric stove. If you don't want to get the stove all messy with ash, then put a piece of aluminum foil over the stove. I'm not quite sure if the foil will emit fumes being on that much heat, so you may want to ask around about that idea first. I've never put the foil over the electric coils, so I can't tell you for sure what's going to happen, but it's just an idea if you don't want all that ash. Your gf who is moving in with you will definitely NOT appreciate all the ash collected around the stove with those Nour Coals. MR Bubble
Here is what I did before with them and still use on lemon wood and Japanese coals: I got a big tin can (16 oz Sour kraut) and first ate the kraut. Then I cleaned the can up really well. Next I took something and punched a few small holes in the bottom and the sides of the can close to the bottom. I put the can on my burner, dumped a few coals in and turned it on. This works real well. Most of the mess stays in the can. While the coals are heating up, I build my bowl. Just about the time the holes are punched into the foil, the coals are nearly done. Just a tin can. Works good, lasts a long time. Mathazar
Is it my imagination, or didn't I read in like SEVERAL threads over the past year that it's unsafe to heat tin to fume emitting levels? People always say not to use tin foil for your bowl. Well wouldn't the same apply to a tin can? Hmmm........I'd find-out more information on that before you start heating-up tin cans on the stove
mushrat
Well, most "tin" cans these days are aluminium. no? Just like most "tin" foils are as well... I think the biggest problem with tin cans was the lead solder used to weld them together... Just watch out for the plastic lined aluminum cans. wyteboy
thanks Math for the tip. Thing with lemon wood is you have like grab tons of thise chopped up, weird coals to see which are ok shaped and stuff. With Nour it wouldn't be the ash so much, I could clean it up off the stove right? And I'd use em to smoke outside. I wrote Hookah-Shisha this morning but got no response from them....maybe cause it's Memorial Day weekend? I am smoking tonight either with Goldens or 3kings and then not smoking from tomorrow - next week prob, I could use the break regardless but with the gf anyway I won't be smoking it so no rush to order the Nour right now. I'll order em next week and probably throw a screen in as well.... Southsmoke wrote when I questioned the same about their finger coals and said something like the distributor of Nour is like scarce or something so I may have trouble finding actual "nour" brand finger coal. I don't know if that's true or not. Oh well...thanks guys!!
Mathazar
Bullsh*t..........Don't believe anything SouthSmoke tells you. Do your shopping at Hookah-Shisha for your Nour Coals, as I've had no problem buying them in the past

MR Bubble
Well, the funny thing about tin foil and tin cans is that with tin foil, you are drawing the fumes through the hose directly to your lungs. In other words, you are smoking it. While the tin can, you are heating it up for a moment, in a large room. I would think with all the air surrounding you, the level of any poisonous fumes actually entering your lungs would be less than the junk entering you by walking through a busy Wal-Mart parking lot. Or maybe smoking ten bowls of massel a day. MR Bubble
Mathazar
Ten??? Who smokes ten bowls a day? Dude.......I'm up to 15 now
bcoll
Is that even possible? How long does a bowl last you? I don't think i'm awake on average long enough to smoke 15 bowls, even if I did nothing else ever.
Mathazar
I start at around 5 to 7am and continue smoking til around 5pm when I move to the patio for one of my daily cigars. I come back inside and make a cup of coffee or herbal tea, and then I light-up and start smoking the hookah again. It's 1:30am right now and I'm smoking a bowl of HookahHookah Margarita. I've got 6 flavor that I rotate all day long. I know, I know........I should get a life. But at 42, with no job and enough money to live on for the foreseable future, there's LOTS of things I could do in my daily life, but all I seem to ever do is sit at the computer surfing, downloading, posting in forums, watching movies, and smoking the hookah. My hobby has turned into a MAJOR LEAGUE habit, which I can't seem to quit. I've gone thru several hookahs, with the intention of quitting, but I always end-up buying a new hookah and TONS of tobacco. I'm wasting time and money on a habit that one day will probably cause some sort of health problems and possibly even kill me. But, that's my life for now, and until I take that first step to quitting and stick with it, my life will never change. That's one of the problems with having money, you get lazy and pick up bad habits. Oh well, that's life!
wyteboy
math we know you can do it the one day you decide to dedicate yourself to the cause, but you have to be ready for yourself. until then, enjoy the hookah! that being said, have you ever smoked gs af esk apple? see my thread... Mathazar
Yeah, I didn't care for the stuff. Perhaps it's also an acquired taste, and maybe I should give it another try
