Need Some Help On A Purchase For This Week.

Recommended Posts

Well I bought my first hookah almost a year ago from Sahara Smoke (http://www.saharasmoke.com/store/catalog/Sahara_Hookah__Candy_Stripe_p_16644.html).
It's a total piece of crap and the stem has broken off! Now I'm looking at getting another one. Should I go Mya or Egyptian? I really don't want one over 21 inches tall and am hoping to keep the price range $80.00 and under. I've got to say the Egyptian ones I've smoked here in town sure seem nice.

Could you guys point me to some online stores that you've been pleased with?

Thanks in advance for your help.

honestly. i dont know the quality of the online retailers. from what i heard from a few people was that the new egyptians arent as high quality as the old ones. i have no idea what people sell online. theres an arabic shop that only has the old egyptian ones here. sorry

try asking sonthert. he knows all about hookahs.

Hmm... First... check the product reviews and the vendor reviews sections... there you will find way more info than you will here...

Regarding the stem, I really reccommend either a brass or a stainless stem, the quality sellers will generally carry only quality hookahs... That said Mya is a safe bet, and I've been very pleased with social smoke.

Modern hookahs are generally machine accurate, if you don't need the artisanship of a hand crafted one, then go modern... Personally I like the personality in my hand made social smoke... a well made egyptian will smoke as well as a machine made... machine mades are less work to check over for potential leaks and such, and can be more of a lazy man's hookah... At the end of the day, as long as you shop quality, whatever you get should be good. Just remember you get what you pay for.
