smidge
Just got my layalina shisha in from Social Smoke, just wondered how i should spark it up? Does any one have any good tips?
Calcartman
dont spark it up.Toss it in a tangiers bowl if you have one, with 3 jap coals (or 4 for medium/large, but be prepared to remove one and rotate if it gets too hot).It takes a lot of heat to get it going to its full potential. smidge
Just finished bowl, The shisha Was all black so i suppose i burned it? Why do i have such a tendancy to burn my tobacco? I use two layers of foil, and a decent amount of holes, 4 pieces of natural finger coals, and dont pack the bowls to the brim. Well, please leave all your feedback, im going to bed now, just got back from a long 4 day trip from iowa.
Calcartman
If you burn the bowl, you're using too much heat, or not enough tobacco, or both.Judging by the size of that bowl, id say 4 coals is too much. Try starting with 2 next time, and if you need it add a third, and remove it if it gets too hot.

ezie
Hey there smidge, i'm smoking layalina Kiwi right now and i recommend you this flavor, well to tell you i don't even like kiwi fruit but i have no choice it's the only layalina flavor my local shop have left. About the burning thing i suggest you using QL. Break them into half or into quaters. 2 QL should be enough just remember to move them around. If the taste start to get harsh [ i doubt] then remove one of the QL. The smoke is huge and thick and the flavor taste like kiwi. So i hope this helps. If you have the funnel bowl thats even better because it's easy to clean the juices that get into the stem. Layalina is very juicy hehe Peace
smidge
Thanks guys, how do you ash the coals or move them around? because everytime i try they break apart and go everywhere!
Calcartman
I dont ash them until i need to, and i just pick it up with tongs, blow the ash off (or drop it in the tray) and put em back on the bowl.
