gunsboy
Go to this site:https://shishavac.com/the_benefits.htmlBut they claim that it does the following:- Start your shisha.- Burn Charcoal- Dry hookah parts (stem/hose.. etc)- Air clean hookah parts too (especially hose)It includes air filters but iI just realized that it will be out in Dec. So no one would have tried it yet.

PersianPride
Seen a variation of it in an Iranian shisha cafe. Although its a fairly cool device I don't think its really necessary unless your a cafe owner or really really heavy smoker. Although now I am tempted to try some its features with an ordinary vacuum cleaner.....
markchan
yeah u shld, i vacuum my KM hose before use. i know i'm kinda suppose to do it after a smoke but i can't assed. hahawell hey if i had abt 300USD lying ard i'd get one.
mgcsinc
Wow, that is by far the most production and marketing effort I have ever seen anyone put into a hookah-related device or website... by like a factor of 50... and it's reflected in the price. This device looks like a Yuppie-ready espresso machine on crack, but lord knows if it wasn't insanely expensive and nearly completely useless, I'd buy it just to have something that's related to hookah and is that professional looking. tj154906
That thing is crazy. I think that it would take alot of fun out of smoking though. Half the fun is setup and cleanup. One thing I like about smoking hookah is the traditional feeling behind it. I don't think I'd like a giant espresso machine on crack making a bunch of racket while I'm getting ready to smoke. mrmonk7663
Pretty sweet machine. You could always dry your hose/clean your hose via a small air compressor with nozzle. Good looking product though for sure.
ahwahoo2006
I wouldn't spend that much, but it is a pretty sweet idea.

I was just like, someone spent a LOT of time on this marketing and design. Most of the time hookah sites are run by people who smoke or design hookah stuff, in which case their priority is just that, designing, or smoking. These people are marketers. But their machine looks pretty dang nifty, not gonna lie.If i started a hookah bar that would definitely be well worthwhile to me.
SmokeMojo
I would say this isn't a very practical product for a normal hookah consumer.. But for a hookah lounge, that thing would probably be a great help, especially in some of the busier ones. I couldn't see myself purchasing one of those for myself even at $50.. I'm gonna have to agree with tj and say that part of the whole 'experience' is setting it up, cleaning it and all that. The setup kind of brings me down from whatever I'm doing and puts me in that state of mind for smoking.. Working with the hookah yourself helps you get to know it better, and produce a better smoke... But a hookah lounge could definitely benefit from one of those.. Scoop
must be a small lounge.the lounges around here start like full 1lb bag of coal right away. the machine looks like it starts all of 3 coals.waste of money. the best hookah bar that existed in LA used to just tell us to wait a couple mins before smoking to heat it up. it worked perfect.blowing through hoses is easy enough, paying for a machine? lol.its just a waste of money, even for a hookah bar owner. tingjunkie
Yep, waste of money. For $250, I'd rather get a brand new hookah, a couple thousand grams of good shisha, and about five or six back up hoses (or a $40 air compressor which would do the same thing as this silly product). I think I'll just keep shaking and blowing in my hoses real hard before I use them and keep the $250.When I saw the title of the thread, I thought someone modified a food storage vacuum to preserve tubs of shisha and keep them nice and fresh- now that would be a worthwhile product! mushrat
Here's my fancy shmancy hookah starter. Had to come up with soemthing because near the end of a busy night i'd have the nicotine headach from hell and my tatse buds would be in shock since i actually start all the hookahs before bringing them out. That way the customer plugs in their mouthpiece and just starts pussing. The vac was 20 bucks at Target and the hose was 1.95 at petsmart.
tingjunkie
There ya go mush! $250 be damned! But I'm a bit worried about all that Yayo you leave lying on the counters. Is that how you hook the customers? Edited June 22, 2007 by tingjunkie
talksrealfast
This is a perfect example of early adopters being the only ones that want to buy these items. Since they're 1 of 1 companies that makes this product, making it costs more money and thus they can sell it for more money - no competition. As the hookah scene picks up, which it will as recent trends (including this product) show, these will get cheaper. I'd probably buy one in the $40-$60 range since it's worth about that much to me. It might as well be a coffee maker as it's about the same amount of complicated parts. I wonder how long it will take for these to drop to that price....?Edit: this is my favorite part.Next to this image is a writeup of this part of the device."Included with each Shishavac is a durable, beautifully custom designed 1.5 cup charcoal basket..."That's kind of stretching it a bit, don't you think?
