wyteboy
How often do you guys get a new bowl to smoke with? I have had mine for a few months now I think, it's the brown kind of bowl with like a white edge sort of? Does anyone know the kind I am talking about? Anyway, after smoking for awhile now there are parts of the white rim that are a bit faded and near the edges, there are some small spots of black that don't come off. None of this is a big deal or anything, I was just wondering how you know when to change the bowl or how an older bowl affects the taste of the ma'assel, thanks! MR Bubble
I've had my current bowls for a few years. Every now and then I use a scouring pad to clean them up. A have a friend who is/was an Amway distributer and he got us some stainless steele pads called Scrub Buds. Those are the ticket! They will ALMOST look new after I hit them with those things. If you know someone who distributes, check out the scrub buds. MR Bubble
wyteboy
but using the same bowl for a few years? that is awesome! I was worried I'd need a new bowl soon or something to keep the smoke great. Thanks bubble!
yashman19
I believe I know what type of bowls you are using. I think they're just the porcelin bows, not the clay ones with the very narrow white stripe around the rim. Yeah, bowls aren't something that need to be replaced because of too much use, just when you drop and chip them (which I've done far too many times). I have about 5 different bowls of all different sizes and as long as their not chiped, they're good to use.
SMOKE~N~BUBBLZ
A bowl will last till it breaks. Just make sure you clean it good, eventualy you get a crusty black buildup around teh inside, if you do just scrape it off with a knife. But if you regularly clean it there shoul dbe no problems
cypress
Yep, I replace mine when I drop them. I have been a little clumsy lately. I need to pay better attention.
