Turkish Hookahs!

Recommended Posts

It appears that they have a contact in Texas so shipping might not be that much. I have sent off for some info on the hookahs and will let you know what I get back.

Yeah got to love the ceramic bases, although it makes setting the water level really difficult. My every day argile doesn't have a ceramic base but some kind of foil decoration which also blocks your ability to see inside. However after a while you can pour the correct amount of water on instinct alone. Edited by PersianPride

Those look quite similar to a Turkish one I have (which is a piece of crap) and similar to the 4.5' tall ones George was selling at Hookah Company for $20...he had so many complaints about their quality he had to put a disclaimer "No returns...its a piece of crap."

Well more or less like that.

Check out this site:

http://www.syriangate.com/nargile.htm

Notice In Gallery 1, Narg. 9. Look at the price. It looks like a good quality Syrian hookah.

Look at Narg. 73 in Gallery 3. Notice the difference in the prices and notice the difference in the hose ports. The hose port is obviously made of very thin, crummy metal.

Look at the "thickness" of the metal in that website...it seems thin on several of them. On closer inspection of the ones on the Turkish website, some of them look good. Disregard part of last message. I hit two of them that look just like the ones I've seen ,crappy. I didn't look too closely. Compare prices between the two sites, kinda pricey on Yutani.

Check out Narg. 4 on Gallery #1. Edited by Sonthert

hrm from looking at the pictures the hookahs all seem slanted one way or another lol i dunno maybe its just me...

Agreed. Plus, isn't nickel a fairly toxic metal? -Could be wrong on that.

If a company doesn't care enough (or is physically unable to) get their hookahs to stand up straight for the product shot, then I don't put much faith in their quality.

Not to hijack the thread, but are there any good hookahs out there made from stainless steel? That seems like it would be the ideal hookah material- well aside from titanium which would be retarded expensive.
