UQKenny
I have asked my local shisha place about the possibility of the membership scheme to avoid the smoking ban, but apparently that won't change a thing. However, anyone is still welcome to sign the petition until the 29th June:http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Shisha/
Namenone
Heres a fe wof the main guidelineshttp://www.smokefreeengland.co.uk/what-do-...uick-guide.htmlAs you can see the Definition of enclosed and substantially enclosed is crazy! how is that practical for businessesQUOTE Premises will be considered 'enclosed' if they have a ceiling or roof and (except for doors, windows or passageways) are wholly enclosed either on a permanent or temporary basis. Premises will be considered 'substantially enclosed' if they have a ceiling or roof, but have an opening in the walls, which is less than half the total area of the walls. The area of the opening does not include doors, windows or any other fittings that can be opened or shut.Seems to me businesses are going to have to rake out some more money if they want to keep their shisha cafes runninf!"Crazy england! Furio
You can smoke outdoors but not in a public venue such as a bar or a pub. So if you wanted to smoke shisha outdoors thats cool but you would probably get checked every 5 min by the weed police.ow and AHAHHAHHHAHHHHHAHHH. Ban the sale of tobacco? AHAHAHHAAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. The government make £8bill a year from it ($16bill of your monopoly currency ) If they ban that, then they will only have to rely on the money they make from drug and arms smuggling. And with the way this government spend money on bullshit wars, we need every penny!

hooky1742
i dont smoke ciggys and i am thankful for the ban from the cigarette aspect, i hate going into the pub for a beer and being overpowered by ciggy smoke. I hate the smell/taste of it. So from the point of view of a non-smoker it is a good thing in places where there are gonna be smokers and non smokers, since non-smokers are normally in the majority. However, there really should be an exemption for shisha cafes/bars because everyone has gone in there for the express purpose of smoking shisha. There is no-one in there to upset. The government is keen for britain to be multicultural, but they remove the great social utility that shisha provides as a link between us and asian/arabic communities in their blanket ban. They had better ammend this law soon. Its such a load of crap. Edited June 27, 2007 by hooky1742
