Erica
wait... you have to put an additional 25 on the card so you can pay for your 8 dollar shipping?lol..I am either extremely tired.. or your post doesn't make sense.. and the first option is probably more reasonable...See if you can borrow one of your friends atm cards to pay for the shipping... and give them the 8 bucks or whatever it is... hookah hippie
Let me explain this better1. I broke my funnel2. I went to safeway because they sell pre-paid visa cards3. I brought the card home 4. I went to mnhookah and checked their price5. For some reason I wasn't charged for shipping6. My $25 prepaid visa was able to afford the price without shipping 7. Now they want me to pay for shipping 8. Which is hard because I maxed out that card and I have no way to pay it9. If I knew I couldn't afford 2 I would have bought 1I think they clarifies it better

mushrat
Hot: then you havent been paying attention.Hippie: USPS tracking is crap. It won't generally actually track a package, just likes to make you think it does. I've received things that tracking says is still out there in the ozone. Don't rely on it. Tell them they should just refund your money cause you can't afford the item if they haven't sent it since their system screwed up, if they have sent it tell em tough, You paid what they told you to pay and they shipped. They can't come back later and ask you for more. And they can't require you to send it back. They need to fix their system and stop hassleing customers. A flat-screen HD tv was on offer for £599.00 But the online store had it listed at £5.99. They refused to honour this price and some clever twit took them to court. And lost. It was upheld thatit was unresonable for a consumer to expect this item at that price.Having said that, given the example about regarding a super-market item being $6 less, who would notice anyways? I certainly would not have. But let's speak of integrity. When handing over £10 and the cashier has given me change as if i had given her £20 I allways point out this mistake. Why? Because she would be in the shit for the till being 'under'. And I have to sleep at night.Just my own personal Point of View.Treat people how you expect to be treated.JD

mushrat
I'm with china, if you know your system is faulty, why the hell did you keep it online??Since they KNEW they had a problem and still sold you the item at the price they did I would CERTAINLY not pay the extra. Payment and Shipment. Shipping should have been added during negotiations (ie checkout)I guess its a judgment call. I have gone back to stores that undercharged me (and overcharged me) to rectify the situation and give them the money I owed. I had three friends with me when I bought a dozen or so DVDs...and the store failed to charge me for two of them...despite my three friends protesting, I went back to pay for them.At one local distributer, I purchased a case of charcoal (20 boxes), they were loose boxes, so I grabbed a junk box that I thought was the same size and filled it up...the owner of the distributer looked in there and counted 20 boxes, too. I get back to the store and by some sort of slut magic, now there were 24! I went back the next time and told them and told them I was going to pay them for 2 boxes at the case price, essentially split the discrepancy with them. I didn't feel I should shoulder the entire burden of the discrepancy since the owner also counted them and miscounted them, too.Whatever the difference is, work it out...settle on half...pay them later. Talk about it. Maybe they'll call it even if you do a few odd jobs around the internet for them. No biggie, I'm sure Tarik and Scott aren't going to come after you with a pack of dogs. Just negotiate in good faith...realizing you have the upper hand since you don't have to give them thing one. It builds goodwill and as I always say:"Goodwill is worth more than the dollars it took to create." As long as you and they continue to negotiate in good faith, it builds goodwill. If one party stamps their feet in the mud and says:"I'm not moving at all. You have to pay me" OR "I won't pay you." thats when good faith negotiations break down and people get pissed. Talk it out, I'm sure they're willing. Sarcasm, JD/Jamesh? Huh. Edited June 26, 2007 by Sonthert I'm a dumbass
mushrat
sonthert, those were all unknowing accidents. This is a case of knowingly keeping a faulty system up and expecting people to make up the difference when THEIR system messes up in a ay they know its going to.....
