Hookah-shisha claims Romman to be "premium" tobacco just wondering if it is kinda top-shelf stuff or they are just jumping it up more than it is?

On a sidenote, my personal experience with Romman is that it is a very nice smoke once you can get it going

Premium is a subjective word, but in my opinion Romman smokes well enough to be considered in that class. Although, I have heard, that it is made by the same company that makes Al Waha.

I don't personally care for it much. The flavors I've tried tasted very manufactured and I was generally dissapointed with everything I tried. Plus you can get far better brands IMO for the same price.

Since Romman isn't exactly the most expensive out there, nor does it have top shelf flavor I'm not sure how they are claiming that its a premium brand other than general advertising bs. Edited June 29, 2007 by indy

Me and my friends have tried a handful of Romman flavors and have loved all of them. There's a certain smoothness all of them had, and they all lasted for a considerable amount of time.
Like Hookahlife said, being premium is subjective, but I've found that for the price, Romman is a pretty good choice.

I would agree that romman is up there, and could be considered premium. But its all about different flavors. Some Al Waha smokes better than romman, and even starbuzz and tangiers, like after nine.

I might be wrong on this, but I am pretty sure Romman is honey-based, rather than molasses-based.

I'm undecided on what I think about the actual flavoring, but the tobacco smokes really well. I don't think it's anything like Al Waha.

I like Romman. It's smooth and tasty. The only reason I don't really buy it is because of it's price. I'd rather buy Layalina or Al Fakher.

i'd say it is but i'm not expert

romman holds it's liquids pretty well, i just find that it has a lot of mini stems like 1 in long and about 1/16 of an inch in diameter.
as for the flavoring, nothing special imo, it's just smooth smoking for an unwashed(from what i've read) tobacco.

This is true. Romman is a quality smoke.

Romman is based on honey, not molasses nor corn syrup. Only one commonly available brand that is made with molasses is...starts with a T...the antagonist's name in "The Prestige"...Angiers? T. Angiers. I don't want to say the name!

Romman is not, according to Sammy Romman, made at the same factory as Al Waha. Pharoah's is made, supposedly, at the same factory as Al Waha...maybe whomever started this rumor meant to say "factory district".

Romman is good.

I really like romman, but I can't afford it often. Like anything it depends on the flavor, there are some waha or nakhla flavors I like better than some rommans flavors, but overall I love rommans. FYI: Waha is also honey based, if it matters,
