There are several smoke shops in Tucson, Smiley's is one, Glass Bottom is another, Moon is another and Head East Head West is a fourth chain.

Didnt want to seem stupid

Anyways First time I ever smoked hookah was with my cousin, and before we smoked it we had to get this thing called shisha, at first I thought she meant hashish and was wondering just what the hell she was up to. However she eventually explained that it wasnt hashish and that so we were off to buy some. Eventually we ended up at this smoke shop, which kinda freaked me out, with hookah, bongs, pipes and such. I was wondering at this weird place, even considered buying a pipe (regular not hookah). Eventually we bought two 50g packs, one cherry, and one something else I can't remember...oh well. So the theme behind my story is that Smiley's is actually where I started smoking hookah. which makes me uber cool

For example, I started playing World of Warcraft a few months back and I was told to join a east coast server to play with another hookah smoker here. Me and Pimpitox become good friends with two people in game, who ended up only living like an hour away from me. What makes it weird is it was an east coast server, and ALL of us are from the west coast

Smiley's was the first lounge I went to as well. I first learned to smoke the "Smiley's" way with the glass screens and glass bowls. I thought that was the only way to do it. You should have seen how shocked I was when I found this place!

I never really got into computer games but there was one I liked a long time back now called "Monster Truck Madness". A friend I went to high school tells me that one our friends younger brothers was one of the software designers that developed it before it was sold to Microsoft. I knew he was a software developer but had no idea. Later on I talked to my friend and it turned out to be true. The odds the only game I liked made by a friend's brother?
I thought that was a pretty small world. That and running into a good friend at the Atlanta airport waiting to catch a connection to Florida once.

As far as early events that would have been the last thing I expected to have come back later and said damn;
Smoking weed with Pantera behind Joe's Garage a few times in the early 80's (in my younger and dumber years) with no clue they were going to take off like that. Same with Gwar. Stevie Ray Vaughn played all the local dives here before he hit it as well. Seeing him play in a dive with a tip jar at the edge of the rickity stage is something I will never forget.

You must be thinking of Glass Bottom or Moon...Smiley's doesn't sell bongs. The Glass Bottom on...Broadway I think has a really small hookah lounge and sells bongs, too.

Actually that was the one on Grant. I should stop by and see what kind of "Smiley's" merchandise they have these days.

hmm dunno about a lounge the one I went into had like a glass display case, with pipes and such, and behind that was a shelf with shisha, cigs, cigars, and such. On the left they had hookahs, bongs, etc.

Sounds like the Glass Bottom on Grant, to me. All head shops look alike, more or less anyways. I'm sure its a great story, tell anyways.
