Jackie Treehorn
I smoke cigars from time to time, and right now I am fond of Hoya de Monterrey Dark Sumatra. A good, robust flavor, and the price is right.
LilTank13
For a lighter bodied smoke, I really enjoyed the Gurkha symphony, as well as the Rocky Patel 1999 vintage, and the plain old Patel Connecticut. I really haven't gotten into the fuller bodied smokes, as I am kinda on a Connecticut kick.
Allia22
Hey guys, I need help with my job at a local tobacconist. They hired me pretty much as a hookah expert (yeah, I know ) and a bartender, but I get so freaking lost when it comes to cigars. Is there a dummy/n00b walkthrough you all can give me so I don't get fired for not picking all this info up? I have to learn about fine beers and liquors as well, although my experience is limited to the Budweisers and Fleischmann's >.<

HookahCrazy
yea there are also a lot of cigar "guidebooks" that ive looked through. they have all the terminology, and then they have all the major brands, grouped by country with all explanations and everything. highly recomend them, you can find them at a borders or barnes and noble. or even amazon.com

Wish they weren't so expensive cause I'd easily jump on a couple boxes! Boli PCs and Boli BFs are also stellar smokes. If you haven't tried an ERDM Choix Supreme yet, you should pick one of those up the next time you get a chance. Great stick and not very pricey. The white Russian
The Hoya de Monterrey Dark Sumatra is great cigar for the price. If you can afford it though I recommend a Padron 1964 Anniversary Series Imperial Natural. Edited September 3, 2007 by The white Russian
Oggie505
Just got some new sticks, if one can buy cubans or can actually get real ones in the US, buy a Cohiba Maduro #5, they came off the island in the summer I think, and they are really good. People I know who do not like the maduro like these sticks, very well made as with all cuban cohibas, for people in the UK check out davidoff's shop they have a nice selection of them

TheScotsman
Arturo Fuente Don Carlos #2 (I love torpedoes) are definitely #1, Hemingway are 2. My Brother got me a box of Fuente Fuente Opus X, not too bad, but I like the Don Carlos 2's better.
