mansonfan
A buddy and I are heading to Mexi. on Friday for 2 weeks! ...I just thought about it but if I purchase some Hookahs there, can I bring them back with me to Cali?..Anyone done this before?I would assume that I can because it's not like they are illegal or anything...I will be flying as well, so I could bring them as a carry on ...? Any suggestions?mansonfan

ioannisds
I never thought of Mexico as a place to go hookah shopping, but I dunno. Is there a big hookah market down there or something?

I would think that you can get them in any country...the question would be "Where"?...I will be there for 2 weeks so i can look around. i saw the other threads on the subject but they are mostly Equidor, UK etc. Since I am flying I think i would be better off carrying 2 on and then checking 2-3 ...i hope to get a great deal on them though Just wanted to see if anyone here as gone there and seen/found any and had problems coming back witht them...mansonfan

Blue Midnight
I have been to Mexico dozens of times. Never have I once seen a hookah anywhere. However, I have read about at least one lounge that exists somewhere in Mexico. I'm not sure where. Is this lounge in fact nothing more than a drunkin gringo's fantasy? Perhaps... Sonthert
They do not sell hookahs in Mexico much and if they did, they would be MORE expensive than they would be in the U.S. "Luxury" items (things that are not food, cars, etc.) are more expensive. It is illegal to bring drug paraphernalia into the U.S. I had a hookah jar siezed once...even though it was in my trunk when I came over from the U.S.If near San Diego, come in and see me. My suggestion is that you ship them back one by one from the shop in Mexico, assuming you find good ones. I have a former co-worker who owns a house in Mexico right on the beach in Rosarita. According to him, hookahs are available and are at good prices. He's not into it yet, so he's clueless about manufacturers. He said he'd bring me one back anytime - I just haven't taken him up on the offer yet. With even a great deal, you kinda wanna know what you're getting, you know?'Rani
LsMo
Hi guys, I'm from Mexico and new to this forum. I haved smoked shisha sometimes and now I want my own hookah. Here in Mexico waterpipes are not very popular so you won't find good hookahs at a good price or hookahs "Made in Mexico" (if that's what you're looking for). There are some hookah lounges in big cities where they also sell hookahs, but they are too expensive and I would never buy from them. Instead, I would buy a hookah and accesories in the US and then bring them to Mexico (I have an adress over there and that's what I'm actually doing). Hookah sellers in Mexico buy their stuff in the US and then sell it here.1 box of 3 kings coal for $30 (USD)shisha tobacco (50 gr) for $6normal pumpkin hookah w/case $50and so on...so don't even think of buying a hookah if you are traveling to Mexico, it would just be a waste of money. frankenstein_666
Yeah, I would think that you can make a killing on Ebay because I see the same stuff over and over on there...NOTHING unusual!...I am gonna start selling my holders on there too..possibly this next week.
