ahwahoo2006
So call me dumb, but is the Super Chief just the Phunnel concept applied to non-Tangiers tobacco? Or is there a completely different reason for the SC? /Sorry if I missed an earlier explanation.
oggie505#2
It looks like a normal bowl, but have a v-notch in it, it was made so u can get a phunnel effect, but without haveing to use a mod, because the tangiers phunnel was designed for tangiers only, and I do not use a mod with that, but i do with others, so i figure try this bowl out
speel
Looks neat but wouldn't the tobacco over flow into the holes?
Shifty
Tangiers explained the super chief is made for regular shisha. Same concept as the funnel with the raised middle to let the juices stay in the ring, the only difference is that the chief has many holes instead of just one. I get my medium and small tomorrow, I will also post reviews of them as well as some pics if I can manage that.
oggie505#2
Yes like a normal bowl, but the vnotch is for the juice to pool. Once MN sends it out and it gets to me, usually takes a week to get to my APO, then I will have a nice review and some pics
insidius
I couldn't find any "Super Chief" bowl on their site. Have a link?

Head Mahone
How does the Med Tangiers phunnel smoke with non-Tangiers in it?Thanks,Head
Shifty
It smokes well with any "moist" shisha. It's kind of pointless if it's on the dry side as the purpose is to let the shisha sort of cook in it's own juices.

Sonthert
Even "dry" tobacco isn't. As the hookah juice heats up, its viscosity drops off sharply. It becomes runnier and more mobile. A dry tobacco would be helped even more by a phunnel head, because it has less juice to lose. The sweetening agent actually runs off, too. there's a period in Tangiers smoking when you hit the "molasses phase" about 6 hours into a large phunnel, where the molasses begins to cook off, since everything else is almost gone except a little flavor and a lot of glycerine. newsman
I've had a funnel bowl (without the Scalli mod) for about a month now, and it's rapidly becoming my favorite, even though I don't smoke Tangiers... yet. I usually smoke Layalina, Al Fakher and Nakhla. Since getting my funnel, I won't smoke Layalina out of anything else. I can smoke Al Fakher out of either the funnel or the a regular bowl, and, as for Nakhla, I'll stick with a regulal bowl unless I'm mixing it with one of the other brands. Shifty
Hey SonthertQuick question about this Super Chief Bowl. While packing, do you recommend tobacco in the whole thing, or ring it like the funnel?
insidius
Arg, I still can't decide which to buy!

The more holes are to allow more airflow.
