afrdzak
I've read a lot about how make sure that the foil is flat when covering the bowl. In my experiences, it doesn't apply to every type of bowl. I have both shallow and deep bowls. For the deep bowls, I found it better to fold in about 2mm on the edges of the bowl creating sort of a wall. This has seriously worked really well for me. I agree, for shallow bowls flat top should be used. Also, what I've found to work really well for deeper bowls that doesn't have a glazed bottom is to put foil on the bottom and puncture the 5 wholes. Not only does the tobacco burn well, but it's also easier to clean. The downside is that it's a little more work, but it's worth it. Just sharing my experiences. mushrat
Thats what we're here for afterall.. I can see with a deep bowl where the flat foil is less important. But if someone is complaining of burning their ma'asell, you'd have to agree that the heat getting too close is a good place to start. I'd read someplace that unglazed inner bowls helps distibute the heat better than a glazed bowl. Probably read it someplace tryingto sell an unglazed bowl. The once I have are unglazed inside.
