Looks good and as mentioned before be careful with the base. That's how I found out about it too, got the email from H-S, and I instantly knew I had to buy it Thank's for the warning about the base; is this typical with Mya hookahs? I'll be receiving it on the 10th, so I'll let you know if it seems thin to me in person (will measure it w/ a caliper too).Jon Edited July 7, 2007 by JonDubya

jonny_lech
That's such an awesome looking hookah, especially with that inlay on the stem. Oh God, this thing would be perfect. Definitely looking forward to information/review on this.
PersianPride
Hmmmm very nice purchase. It defies the traditional shisha designs and has a distinct modern look. But not in a crappy way as say that stargate hookah...dear god that thing is one ugly mofo.

Two more days until it arrives!!!I like the traditional styling of a hookah, but I knew if I would find a modern, contemporary styled hookah, that would be what I want. And I found it, and very happy that I did!

mrmonk7663
Traditional, no, but the modern look looks amazing :-) And if it smokes as well as it looks, then you will be good to go. I hope it does smoke as good as it looks. I am thinking of either that hookah myself or the Al Fakher hookah for my next Flashy Purchase. Maybe I'll get it for X-mas!!! I'm excited to hear the report!!!Mike

JonDubya
This will be my first hookah that i've owned; but I have smoked out of many others. What part of the construction can really dictate whether it will be a "good smoker?" All the one's that I've used in the past have smoked pretty much equally (this is both @ bars & @ homes), I would've though the coal or tobacco would have a greater affect on the smoke than the actual device. I keep teetering on this one! It's nice. Not exactly what I expected, but still nice. As far as smoking from it, I don't know if I've got everything working just right yet (see "It all tastes the same" thread), so I can't give a full fledged review as to it's performance. Hopefully I'll have everything working good within the week & be able to post a solid review.

JonDubya
QUOTE (tsm29 @ Jul 15 2007, 08:48 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>How's the build quality on these HS Mya's?Everything is solid. I haven't measured the thickness of the base glass, but it feels sturdy. Has a sticker on it saying it was made in russia or something (i'll have to look at it again). Hoses are nice, and the shaft is of good strength too. As far as workmanship, there are some spots where the cloisonne (silver dotted lines) are covered by the black enamel, but not a bid deal, IMO.
