Calling Multi-hose Owners!

Recommended Posts

Hey....

It is not necessary to have a self seal system....it helps....but what we usually do if we don't use all hoses we put a little blob of prestic over the mouth piece/hole.....or even a bit of tape.

And I would recomend buying a nice two piper rotator....it is still prefect for more than three people.
But it depends on how often you need all three hoses if you wanna buy a 3 hosed one.

It's not that hard to do. My first hookah was a two-hose. I just bought the rubber stopper from socialsmoke, jammed it into the unused hose port, and it was automatically a one-hose.

Yeah, the Rotators are really nice and high quality too. There are little problems/issues with all hookahs but for the money and uniqueness...i would go with the rotator because they have large bases and mine has never tipped or even looked like it was going to! SouthSmoke has some really nice quality ones too!

You would just plug the other hose outlet when not using multiple hoses. I usually just use one hose with 2 people because we use our own throw away mouth pieces + if you are smoking with more than one person it's an easier pull to have them plug their hose or pull together!?...You can pull with the other hose open but it's really hard and you do not get a large draw.

The only reason I would really go more than two, I suppose, is that at one particular party of mine, we had two hookahs going and it was still not enough. Hahaha, perhaps I just need to work on building a collection, since all my hookah smoking friends bow to the quantity of shisha I have! That's mostly due to the fact that the Middle Eastern stores around here have dirt cheap Nakhla and Al Fakher. *sigh* I must say though, I long for Starbuzz.

yeah, that's exactly what I did...I bought the Rotator first and then wanted to try the smaller ones, so I bought a 21" single and a Mya QT...My next one will be a multiple hose 2or3 in a 25-30"...just so I cover all my bases biggrin.gif

Comments... It's been said that rotators are notorious for eventually leaking water everywhere. No personal experience, but ask the mods, I'm pretty sure they'll confirm this.

This girl I know got one and it hadn't leaked yet, but she got drunk and knocked it over, miraculously it didn't break. Yet as she was spinning it like a toy, attempting to show it off but only succeeding in disgusting me in the total disrespect she was displaying, there was a noticable wobble that she'd put in by the fall. (damn, I want to rescue it now angry.gif)

YES....they do leak water! Sorry, forgot to mention that...it's no big deal to me because I am in a shop and water is the last of my worries leaking. If you are not concerned for a little bit of water leakage then they are amazing. They are also a little hard to attach the stem to the base as well. I do not have a problem with it because the quality of this sucker makes me take my time and I love it.

Maybe the traditional egyptian 2 hoser would be better...then you can graduate to a more complex one like the rotator.

Thats actually a better idea than I suggested at first(with the rotator) Go and buy a normal two hoser and then advance to the rotator......but in the end it is your choice.....

Otherwise if you do have a bit of patience and don't care much about a water leak go for the rotator.

What does the rotator give you, other than making passing easier?

Well for me it is that it gives you great passing and no likely-nis of it falling over, also that is due to the nice wide base giving it stability.I also find that with a rotator you have quite a height so you need that stability and ease of passing in order to keep it from falling.

And what I also like is that the glass is really big and so you have a really big smoke chamber then!

I am just going to tell you that the hookah you have linked the abyss the stem's exterior is wood and can chip.

hose is perfectly matched by the tray and shaft which are both made of gun metal black stainless steel. The shaft disassembles for easy cleaning.

pretty sure its metal dude.

Well, my Scorpio has a large THICK glass base, very nice constructed body and stem, LARGE base, Smoothly rotates, will not fall over and is an EXTREMELY nice smooth pull! Mine is the 38" tall monster and I absolutely love it!..i am probably going to buy another one later this year in the 1 hose smaller version.
