Some Great Mya Deals Locally

A local Armenian market sells Mya Saray hookahs and tobacco dirt cheap. How cheap? 250g at $8 apiece for Al Fakher and $7.50 for 250g of Nakhla. They have beautiful custom picked (as in vase and stem combos) Myas that i've never seen before and are some of the best looking hookahs I've EVER seen. They go for $79.99 each. Should I jump on these deals? I don't really NEED a new hookah but of course I want one. I'm going to college in the fall and packing it and hiding it from the 'rentals isn't gonna be very easy let alone a big black briefcase that they've never seen in their lives. They like hookah but they'd kill me if I spent anymore money on a new hookah. They are cheap and see $80 as insanely expensive. Thanks for advice.

PS - some advice, find a great ethnic market in your area (not a cig shop but i middle eastern-like market) and you too can find steals such as I have. Edited July 8, 2007 by MechAnt

yah, the middel eastern grocery in Houston has awesome deals on shisha too!!! As far as the hookah, It may or may not be a good deal, depending on the setup. I picked up a nice Mya Stem from my middle eastern Grocery for $27+tax and the rest i pieced together for less than $80, and this is including my medium funnel and scallis mod, and my hose. Just food for thought.

So anyone think i should jump on the hookah deal? My main problem is getting it to school with me without my parents finding out i got a new hookah. And is that a good deal, the price? (I found a vortex for 79.99 there too!)

If you were going to use it at home only, I'd say pick it up. But it seems that you'll be in a dormatory environment where it's typical for stuff to get broken or stolen; I know first hand. Can you risk having that $80 disappear on you in an instant? After being at school for just a month? I think if you want to sneak something to school w/o 'rents knowing, get it once you're there. I also think you should spend $30 on an acrylic hookah that can endure a bit more shock. That way you've also saved $50 which you can put towards something like tobacco, or save it and let it accrue some money for you.

where is this market located? (city/state) I know 250g Nakhle at this one market goes for $5.XX. But $8 for al fakher, i would buy them all. lol

while everyone has the urge to buy new hookahs all the time (well at least I do) I would say its not the best idea if you are hiding it from the parents. Get them comfortable with the idea of you owning just one... then buy the second =]
