Nammor Hose Update

Alright, so i've been using my Nammor for a few days now. I decided to just live with the small imperfection instead of jacking with getting another, no biggie. Anyway, while the clouds are amazing with this hose, it still SUCKS flavor wise. Every puff is infused with a nasty plastic taste. I'm sure it would tatste just fine if I didn't have this Mya Thick to compare the taste too, but fact is I do. That being said, is there anything I can put inside this hose to make this flavor go away, to season it? Anything like vinegar, hookah cleaner, anything at all so season this hose, or will it always just taste like crap compared to my Mya Thick? Don't get me wrong, it isn't horrible or anything like that, but like I said, compared to the Mya Thick, it is a night and day difference, Mya being the champ. I know this hose must have some flavor potential though, please help. Thanks!!!

Thats odd because I never had a taste problem with mine. I havnt washed it yet either but when i do ill proly soak it in water and lime juice. I honestly think u might have just recieved some kinda defective hose and I would still contact H&S and get a new one. Like I said I have no complaints and only good things to say about the nammor.

Man this sucks then. Have you ever tried a Mya Thick hose? LIke I said, the Nammor taste is ok, but the Mya just blows it away. And there is definitely a strong plastic taste, regardless of what kind of shisha I use. Anyway, I just shot HS an email with all pertinent info concerning the hose and the problems, so we shall see if they take care of it or not.

Try using baking soda and warm water to clear out the plastic taste (These are 100% washable right?). Try soaking it in a bowl and make sure that the baking soda/water mix runs through the hose. That's how I make my CamelBak taste relatively normal, so it should be worth a shot with the hose.

if its a washable hose just run some water through it, then hang it up and let it drip dry, just make sure to run a good bit of water from it, turn it into a hose, should help get rid of the plastic taste

The baking soda might have some potential. Good call. I'm gonna let the company have time to answer, and if they decide not to replace this defective hose, then I'll go for it. (Defective as far as the exterior goes)

My first Nammor took 12-15 smoke to get rid of the plastic taste, my 2nd took 3 sessions worth of straight orange to fix, My gf's nammor also took 3 sessions of orange to fix. So my solution is go smoke some orange.....

My Nammor had a nasty plastic taste, which worried me alot in the beginning. Don't worry, even though it seems very strong, it will go away with washing and smoking. As for the construction, and I am sure other Nammor owners will agree, its outer and inner construction is of a very high quality; the hose looks $25. If yours does not, it might be a manufacturing defect that HS must have looked over. I would call them directly, they are very cool guys and usually go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied.

Dito. However, I didn't use lemon juice. I took the end off, put some water in it, put my hand over the end thats open, and swished it around. Im not going to lie, the hose tasted like complete balls the first few sessions.

From H-S.com: "The handle of the hose is detachable so you can easily detach them and clean and wash your hose from the inside. For best results just clean after each use and use warm water with your cleaning solution."

I guess they mean the same thing you clean the stem of your hookah with. You should give it a try.

I just ordered mine yesterday.....hopefully it won't take too long to get the plastic taste out....or better yet I hope that it doesn't have one !

My hose is waiting for me at home as it was just delivered. I have a bunch of new shisha to try as well. I'll be posting a review later in the evening!

Alright, HS has already sent out the new hose and it is in Transit to me. They actually got it packed up and the UPS thingy done yesterday evening. This was merely a few hours after my phone call and email to them. Very impressive.
