I'm down with some washed tangiers, though I can say it won't be the same experience as normal Tangiers. The plus side is though, the flavor will probably be more potent, and Tangiers will be able to cater to the "non buzz" crowd too! I enjoy buzz on occassion and no buzz at other times, so I keep a nice stock of both washed and unwashed shisha.

Quoted From Tangiers/Sonth himself:

I gather his possible plan is to make a Completely Washed version as well as a regular washed.

I think you guys/gals just need to man up and take it like a Champ.

Washed:
Tangiers
Romman
Nahkla
Al Waha
Abu Hitham

Partially Washed (Usually washed mixed with a little unwashed...to retain a little nicotine)
Al Basha

Washed Completely
Al Amir
Al Fahker
Layalina
Starbuzz
Havana
Fumari
HookahHookah
...

Some washed brands erroneously claim to have full nicotine, either because computing the number is difficult, they wish to misrepresent their product, or they used to use unwashed foundation and then switched to a washed foundation. (layalina and Starbuzz)
Washing is accomplished commonly by rinsing the tobacco with cold-room temperature water. Less commonly, the maker will use vinegar, as an acid, it neutralizes and dissolves the nicotine very well...but is more expensive (in the US). Nicotine is water soluble, so not that much water rinses it around 99% clean.

As I've said before, Tangiers flavorings are so good that they really should be available to a wider range of smokers -- the people who don't like the buzz, the people who have trouble getting it to smoke smooth, and the people who just happen to be in the mood for a lighter smoke should be able to enjoy Tangiers as well. With a washed line, my mom could finally enjoy Kashmir Peach with me! Erm... alright so that might not be the best selling strategy, but you get the idea.... I support the addition of a washed Tangiers. Edited by symptom CY

Tangiers is in no way washed.

Bad news, earlier tests on the same tobacco base Smiley uses made some flavors kick back...awful. Kashmir anything was awful. Soapy, harsh, Awful!

I did some sugar tests today. Fun. Feel Al Amir...the graininess...I think thats sugar.

You know we have a saying around here now about Tangiers and new smokers.

You hand them the hose and say "Here, cough." laugh.gif

It has never failed yet.
