Group Buys?

Recommended Posts

Hey All,

If 10 or more of you get together and agree to purchase 1 or more items we can setup exclusive access to our website so you can purchase the items at the already discounted price. Each of you will pay individually and ship individually.

Just keep in mind discount amounts will vary based on items. Some items you may get only slightly cheaper when compared to your forum discount, while others may be exceptionally cheaper.

Regards,
Mike
Hookah Life

EDIT: Who ever is organizing this buying coop please PM or email us once the group is established and we will tell you what we need in order to get everything up and running.

It wont be worth the hassle associated. I was one who was semi-ripped off on Tangiers phunnels from the group buy guy. If I remember, he joined the military and had to have a family member ship them. I ordered two bowls.. I think for around 25 bucks. Not bad with shipping..

However, I only received one bowl. I figured it a lesson learned to youth.

I'd buy a Nammor House, but if I give you money and you don't give me a hose, I'll drive out and take my two rip off experiences by beating you with one.

Also, if you are a member of the BMW forum, why are you worried about saving a couple of bucks? wink.gif

I kid!

Thanks for trying to do something good and unifying for the forum.

some people just read the topics first few posts rather than go through the entire topic. from what i understand it it will be that you send the money directly to the vendor and they will ship the items to every person individually. bigger hassle in a way as they have to ship the same amount of product to different people rather than one person but they get to move larger volumes of product in one blow as some people are more inclined to make a purchase if a group makes a purchase.

well like cool you are going to save a dollar or two but the work and effort to organize a group buy seems like a waste..by the time the order goes through, and everyone sends there money.. you could have already had the thing Edited by ASUSEAN1

Kinda understand where ASUSEAN1 is coming from :-

However it would probably work better with the idea of a vendor coming forward with a product
and feeling up the members here and finding out if a number might order (like the $15 smiley hookah)

Then accepting a shed-load of orders.

yea the 15 dollar hookah worked out good.. he asked if people would want it and gave us the price because everyone was interested

but if you have to get ten people to send money.. and lets say three people back and they decide not to tell anyone about it, then the vendor has to tell the person that started the group buy and that person needs to find three new people or tell everyone else that no dice on the order and by tht time I am pissed I didnt get the thing I sent money for and find out my money has been credited back..

its not as involved as you guys think, this takes place all the time on the car forum with products over 100 bucks.

if pple back out, theres always others who want in

lol, the whole purpose of it on the car forums is because parts cost an arm and a leg, and a group buy can usually drop it down significantly...

youre buying something thats like 15 bucks, a group buy for...14?

i see where youre coming from i just like someone else said, wouldn't waste my time saving a dollar unless you were talking about 20 dollar savings

I've run coops for a loooong time. I've never known a vendor to set up a special 'buy direct' kinda thing, but that is pretty cool =]

Anyway, I'm down for the group buy thing. I'm interested in a phunnel/mod, and shisha, for sure. Pretty much any accessories, too (it never hurts to have backup grommets/hoses/etc!)
