After waiting all weekend and all day to get home so i can check out my new tangiers phunnel bowl and Smileys Mod (fedex finally came) from hookahcompany.com, they forget to send me the damn MOD. Im pissed. The box was pretty heavy and i was wondering how much the phunnel could weight. I open the package, beautifylly wrapped phunnel bowl and i see a big brown bag with smileys on it. Im like, oh cool maybe they gave me a free sample. I open it, its FREAKIN charcoal!!!! Look all over the box, no MOD to be found....now i have to wait much longer to get the mod to actually try the bowl.... What dissapoints me the most, there is an invoice in the box with check marks from an actual person next to each item packaged. angry.gif First thing in the morning, im going to call them and demand them to ship it out tomorrow so i can hopefully receive it by thursday. This blows....

damn that sucks, guess when the person was doing the checklist they just read smileys and saw the charcoal and thought it was fine. well hopefully it gets fixed quickly for you. on the brightside you got more charcoal ohmy.gif

I will definitely tell them they sent me coal and there is no way in hell im going to send it back. Cant wait till tomorrow morning to give them a call. What sucks is the guy that checked it off and stamped "approved" on the invoice scribbled his name....so ya, go figure.

A week? Im going to make sure it gets sent out tomorrow. If i cant get through to them, I will put my aunt on the phone. She is the last person customer service wants to deal with (believe me when i tell you that. lol)

I've always believed in giving these vendors a chance, before I jump at their throat. These sorts of things happen all the time, there is nothing you can do about it. What makes people continue to shop at HookahCompany? They treat you right, and make up for some inevitable mistakes with great customer service. Sure if my complaints get ignored I'll give them a piece of my mind, but why would you call them up and start throwing demands in their face? Are you hoping they will feel so bad that they will shower you with freebies?

All I'm saying is, giving attitude and throwing demands around won't get you your mod any quicker. Only thing I can recomend you do is be sure to call them bright and early tomorrow, preferably right when they open, and NICELY explain your situation. By doing this early, they'll most likely be able to get your mod out with their first shipment of items for the day. If you call later in the day, they may have already taken their packages to be shipped off, and you'll have to wait another day.

ALSO

Don't be suprised if tomorrow isn't one of their shipping days. Some companies only ship on certain days of the week to save money. They will take in orders and they won't go out for a day or two to save trips/money driving to the shipping center.

These are just my .02. It wasn't my intention to offend you, as I don't know you personally. I just feel that giving these people some slack makes everything better in the end. Ever watched the movie "Waiting" with Ryan Reanolds. I know resturante/food is a tad different than this, but you never know what will happen when you piss someone off who handles your goods smile.gif

Great tip but by all means, i wasnt going to jump at their throats. I deal with customers so i know what its like to be on the other end(employee). Im just frustrated right now. But i will definitely be nice and calm about it when i speak to them. I have learned that demanding doesnt get you too far. What i meant in the above post is if they dont do anything about it or if they dont send it out within this week, i will get upset. I dont care if they have certain days for delievery to save money, they F'd up my order, they need to go out of their way to make the customer happy. I know i bust my ass and go out of my way to make the customers happy at work, so why shouldnt they. Im going to call them at opening time and see what they say.

if mistakes happen all the time then there is something wrong. there seems to be a lot of people that dont receive the correct order on a regular basis.
i used to have an online business selling various satellite equipment such as card programmers, cards, etc. with about 40 shipments (mostly to the USA) per week. its not very hard to double check each other before you tape up the box and stick the shipping label on it. i had maybe 5 order errors per year.
the fact that HC handles the situation properly is good though.

UPDATE:

Just got off the phone, they said they will mail out the mod in a padded envelope. He says it takes about a day to get mail to where im located from them and that he will mail it out today. No tracking # though..... i hope he pulls through.

Honestly, I order from Hookah Company all the time, and sometimes to they make mistakes...but what can I say? I love them. They are always very accomadating, they carry nearly anything I can think of, and if they mess up, they correct it, VERY quickly. For me at least...

I work as a security officer for a food distributor. One of the things I've done is audits and some times the selectors make mistakes. They check off an Item even though they had not picked it.
Mistakes happen I always like to give them a three strikes your out plicy when I order from any hookah company. I stopped buying from social smoke because of the run around I was getting on my coals.
But as far as ordering and not getting, mistakes are unavoidable, after all were only human.

Woot, just got done unpacking all the stuff I ordered. HC got it right this time! Here are the details:

All 250g:

Layalina - Guava, Watermelon
Tangiers - Mystery Meat, Cinnamon, Clove
Sahara - Banana and Milk
Nakhla - Cola, Mandarin Orange, Pistachio
Havana - Grape (FREE)
Al Amir - Mocha Latte (FREE)

... and a box of 40mm Three Kings cool.gif I'm trying to figure out this mystery meat.... to me it smells just like Blue Gumball. Too bad I'm sick and can't smoke any of this stuff sad.gif

I wouldn't worry about your lack of a mod. I've been smoking my funnel for about three weeks now and I'm finding that I haven't needed it yet, even though I have one. By the way, I'm I don't smoke Tangiers, and non-Tangiers shisha is what the mod was made for...

Symptom, glad to hear your order came through successfully. Still waiting for my mod. I know i DONT need to use it, but i would like too. I guess i can wait because im still waiting for my new al fakher hookah to come. By the way, ALFAKHERONLINE.com, awesome team to deal with.
