Mya vs. H&S vs. Taqseem

Recommended Posts

Thats what it means. It also means the hoses with tthe autoseal valves will have a significantly restricted air flow. I have a 4 hose with auto-seal. I've already used a drill  tro bore out one of the valves because the flow was so bad. I don't even use the other 2 ports any more.
I suggest staying away from auto-seal hookahs. Just get a 1 or 2 hose, use a cork for the second port when not in use, and pass the hoses in a crowd. Passing is half the fun anyway...
I just wanted to say thank you so much Mathazar Mushrat and others, I just Purchased the 2 Hose Syrian Glyph Gold and Green with Romman Strawberry and Romman Sweet Melon as my two 'free' 50g (according to this site these seem to be popular romman flavors).. and i purchased a 250g Al Fakher Apple (i know mathazar you dont really like this flavor... haha).Thank you so much, im going to look into that syrian bowl, and maybe some other accesories.  It comes with 2 flavors, 2 rolls of coals (im guessing Golden Charcoals), Bowl Screen, glass base protector, mouthtips, filters, wind cover and carrying case.  Which i guess is the standard little start up kit... plus the rest of the necesities (hose, grommets, bowl, tongs brushes).Thank you so much for giving me the information needed to make such a purchase.
Just to make your wait for your new hookah that much worse, I just want to let you know that I own a single hose Glyph and absolutely love it, and love smoking out of it.  I've smoke a couple times a week out of it for the last year and a half, and I just last week gave it a good polishing with some copper polish, and it's as good as new.
Don't worry about the glycerine dripping down onto the stem.  As long as you rinse the stem off and give the inside tube of the stem a good scrubbing after every smoke, you'll be fine..   Mine wasn't tarnished; it had just become dull in color.. Now it's shiny as new..
Also, I don't believe a syrian head would fit on (or in, rather) this stem; it's setup for an egyptian head.. Mine is set up with an egyptian head and the bowl grommet, and there's no way a syrian bowl would fit INSIDE the tube of the stem..

Anyways, just wanted to chime in with another VERY VERY VERY satisfied glyph smoker..

The "auto-seal" is a must-have feature for me.  I can't stand having to plug the other hose when I'm not smoking.

I also haven't noticed significant airflow restriction from mine.
If it's a quality piece, I don't think it should be a problem.
Elite, while i didnt purchase it from YOU, I assure you
it IS a quality piece and I'm far from the only person to have this
complaint about an auto-sealed hookah.
Am I not allowed to give my own personal opinion of hookah
features?  I didn't even mention any of my own products and I sell
hookahs both with and without this.

Don't be a jackass...

What i objected to was the condescending tone, as well as the suggestion that my hookah and those of others that have had similar problems are of an inferior quality. While I'm at it, the high percentage of your posts that are self promoting is a bit tiresome as well, though people seem happy with your services, so that would just me MY personal opinion.
And I really would watch the name calling....it is unnecessary, unprofessional, and undermines any validity you may have had in your complaint about MY comment.

I apologize for the self-promotion, you're right there.

Honestly, I do try and outweigh the self-promotion by trying to keep up
to date with the forums and participating in a positive way.
After all, I do have quite a bit of unique experience in the field that
could help others make happier decisions.  This is why a comment
like yours was so frustrating to me, because you assumed that any
comment I made was self-promotion.

This was inappropriate on your part, and demonstrated behavior similar to that of a "jackass".  See how many words I saved with simple metaphor?

well now, after saying that you often self promote your site and products, how can you fault someone for pointing out the same? If the shoe fits....
Don't get bent out of shape because someone makes a obvious assumption based on past behavior. It's one of the dangers of aggressive self promoting, people naturally begin to question your motives.
I'm all for open and civil discourse, but name calling is merely a refuge in place of reasonable conversation. Try to be civil.
So, what makes your experiences "unique"?
BTW, I'm often the unpleasant reality check around here. I tend to ask the questions no one likes to ask and point out the things many people don't want to see...I've also helped a lot of people, so I too consider it a balance. Except I'm not selling anything.

Thats why we love Mushrat...hes the Tangiers  type of person that Tangiers calls them Tangiers exactly as he Tangiers sees them.Perhaps slightly more subtle Tangiers would make everyone Tangiers feel a little better. Maybe subliminal Tangiers messaging would work.See how annoying it is when someone mentions their company all the time?
