Wow Things Keep Draging Me Away :d

Right as im about to sell most of my baccy, life pulls me away from the hookah again.

Most of what has happened is a bit to personal for wide spread forum reading, but the mods (and anyone who talks to me outside the forums) knows whats happened. Sorry for me being gone but it happens XD

But enough of that, on to some good news for EL

For getting close to a year now I have been craving, wanting, and dreaming of a new camera, a Digital SLR, and in particular, the Canon Digital Rebel XTi. But with no job i didn't expect to have one any time soon, i was wrong...

First off, let me say to those who like to state "you should get good with what you got first before worrying about upgrading", I like to think I have. I've had comments of people not believing i use a normal everyday point-and-shoot. I also have gotten to the point i know every little function, trick, detail, and method for that camera. Even with all those skills, and my experience in photo editing, and cleaning (removing noise, clearing random pixels, etc.) i can't pull off shots as good looking as with a Digital SLR.

Now its not for a lack of shot ideas, its just i don't want to waste those shots on the camera i have been using. I have wanted a new SLR so I can really use all my ideas and make them the best they can be.

That said I am now the proud owner of my dream camera, the same one I've been drooling over for months now, the Rebel XTi, or the Canon 400D if we want to get technical Well... Im kinda the owner. Still have to go pick it up tomorrow, and pay my sister off eventually, but its been bought and paid for

A little backstory on the sister thing. Ever since we got on good terms, my sister has been helping me out by buying me things i want and needed over the years. In return i keep her sane and provide as much laughter as i can muster Well for months she has been saying she would get me the camera. She has me doing tons of portrait work, and as such i was getting tired of having to use her Sony Cybershot for it.

Well this week she got an add, Circuit City is having a sale on the Xti, with the kit lens, and a Canon 75-300mm Telephoto Lens all for $950 That settled it, we went tonight and bought it, along with the case kit that canon sells for the Xti (comes with large gadget bag, UV filter, and battery), CF Card, and of course protection plan But.... one problem. They were out of XTi's XD So we have to go tomorrow to the CC in Plano to pick one up. But its been bought and paid for, and i got all the extras and the telephoto lens

So i'm very happy Also expect to see tons of new shots flowing in by the dozens, all those shots i can finally do!! I just need to find models XD

Damn i love this camera. Shots that used to take hours of work, now take under 1 minute. I mean its just so awesome!! Its removed limitations i had due to the camera i was using.
