mmcgilvr
Hey, just wondering if anyone knows where I can score some nice Shisha In Virginia Beach. I'm in Canada so it's a little more complicated to order online (stupid duties and stuff). I'm going to Vabeeothchay for some well earned R & R and thought it would be nice to pick some up while in the States. So if anyone can point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated! RichL
I don't know of anything in VA Beach although I'm sure there's something out there. If you are down for driving about half an hour outside of va beach to norfolk or further to newport news there are hookah lounges there. In newport news there is lazy dayz on clyde morris blvd and in norfolk i remember a place nazef char (sp?) and thats on harrison ave i believe. Lazy Dayz i go to a bit, I go to college in williamsburg and theres a tobacco shop here where i get my shisha but I know Lazy Dayz carries layalina, starbuzz, tangiers, hookah hookah, and havana shisha's as well as hookahs and bowls. lazria
in virgina beach - go to lynnhaven mall, there is a Shop Shoppe behind the mall, near discount audio. They sell: nakhla, al fakher, HH and some al waha. They have coals (3 kings and dynimite) as well. Smoker Freindly on Holland sells Havana and Sultan coals. Several Smoke Shacks also sell Al Amair. One Hookah friendly restrerunt is called Crocs on 19th street on the beach front - never been there but emailed and they confirmed it.In Norfolk: Most smoke shacks carry Al Amir and 3 kingsFlea market on Lt Creek carries Sultan coals.Aaravark Glass on Colley has Havana, SB and HH.Flea Market on Military sells HH (pricey)In Newport News Lazy Days is good, but will be busy on the Weekends. They are a lounge, but I've bought some shisha from them for home use.PM me all you want. Edited July 23, 2007 by lazria

I'm actually new at this, I haven't even got my Hookah yet, I'm expecting it in the mail today. I hope it's awesome, I ordered the Sub-Zero hookah from Sahara Smoke but upgraded to the Persian Stem with the Auto Seal, I'm told it's better...What brand would you recommend I try out if I go to the Shop in Va Beach? Any preferences, what's the best flavor in your opinion?

Next week he should have the new flvors in (hopefully) but AF Mint, Grape, and Mango are good. If he has any AW left, try the Orange Cream or Kiwi. Nakhla - go with Cocomint. Read the review section for more ideas. Stay away from the HH unless you've tried it before. It's a good price (250g tub for 7.99) but the best flavor he has is Key Lime Pie and then HH is a love/hate thing. He was selling HH shots (15g little tubs) but didn't catch the price or what flavors. Also DON'T buy the Pharho's he has - it's been there a LONG time (from like Jan or longer) and only in Banana Split. Other than that, he's got a very good selection of stuff (including assessories and hookahs).I am planning on tring to get to the store on Colley - they have Starbuzz (250g cans) for $25, but considering I don't have to pay shipping, it's ok. I would suggest calling them before if you want to drop by them - according to them, they sell out fast.

I will however do the touristy surfing with the little boards cause that's just fun...Thanks for the tips!

lazria
NP, have a good trip - just watch out, the city's gotten strange down there this year - weird laws and stuff... Like the smoking ban that went into effect in May/June. I have yet to see how it's affecting the bars and places down there, since as a Local I refuse to visit the beach until Oct (free parking - LOL).
