help? rolleyes.gif

Basically use warm water, lemon juice or baking soda, and a hookah brush if you have one (it helps a LOT) Clean (scrub and rinse, i assume you know what clean means wink.gif ) thoroughly and let it dry completely. The best time to do it is when you are done for the day, because then you can let it dry overnight.

Hoses are a different story. Unless its a washable hose, I never rinse it out. I just blow through it really hard a few times before I connect it to the hookah. That way you get all of that residue junk out of it that accumilates (or most atleast, sometimes you might get a little treasure in your mouth) Edited by quakerotis

instead of blowing with your mouth (which sometimes isnt enough pressure), try using a can of compressed air and give it a quick burst to loosen up any particles in the hose.

Brilliant! that would also save you from getting that light-headed feeling like when you blow up a bunch of balloons. Well, atleast BEFORE you smoke, anyway.

Cleaning a hookah is not difficult. An old toothbrush is best to loosen any crud in the ceramic bowl. To clean the water reservoir, best thing is a toilet brush (small and unused in the traditional way, of course). "Dawn" brand liquid soap is perfect for the glass and acrylic parts. Baking soda solution is good, it absorbs odors.

Thoroughly rinse all parts, remove any soap scum. Do NOT wash a hose, unless it is washable.

I take apart my shower head and use pressurized warm water to get all the gunk out of the stem. No need for a brush here smile.gif
Then I soak everything (but the hose of course) in a small tub for about 20 to 30 minutes with warm water and lemon juice to get rid of odors.

I just use concentrated lemon juice and a long brush, that most hookah supply shops sell.

For the hose, I pour some lemon juice in it and plug both ends with my fingers. Then I kinda swish the lemon juice around and then smack it on my counter top. Followed by a great rinse with hot water! Hang and dry for a few days...
