Buying A Mya

Recommended Posts

Ok, so I've decided to purchase a new hookah. Its gonna be a Mya but the choice between three I have lined up is going to be tough. If anyone knows how sturdy the bases are or whatnot, that would be greatly appreciated.

The Diamond (leaning towards this one)

The Tempest

The Imperial

My main gripe is the base thickness, so if anyone knows which of these bases are nice and thick, I'd greatly appreciate it.

The third one for sure.. it is made with the thicker glass.. the first two are made with their shitty romanian crap that is suppose to be the same quality but it is def. not!

Are those things stable? The vase diameter on all of them is a little worrisome...

jus looks like that in the pic.. they are all very stable.. and a lot wider than it looks from the pic

I just got the Mya Staff 25" and I am very pleased. As for the three you have there, my personal preference would be to the square based Tempest. I just like the look of that one of the three. But Im sure youll be happy with any one of these. Cant give any feed back on base thickness....just that mine is a bohemian base and seems strong enough. The bohemian style with two hoses is very sturdy, rocks very slightly when setting on carpet but with no worries... I wouldnt worry about the square base but again my opinion is biased. Good luck. So, it is confirmed that the third one is def thicker? I really want to be sure, heh

yes sir.. it is made at the Czech glass factory. I would consider it an old style mya which is a good thing.. the first two are the newer ones that basically suck
