this is my first time hearing of that site.. and im not really liking the way i have to navigate around that site. kinda messy.

you can pick up a better hookah for 40 bucks from a more reputable buyer.. try a mya qt or a nice little egyptian from Social Smoke

The reason why everyone is telling you not to buy from that forum are partially unfounded and partially founded criticisms. Hookahtown isn't a reputable dealer here. Not because of bad experience, but because of no experience. I believe they are a newer vendor and I haven't heard anything negative about them. But I haven't heard anything about them at all. I have never ordered from them and haven't had the desire too (yet).

As to the reason why people are not telling you to get that specific hookah is probably because it appears to be a lower quality Chinese mass produced hookah. The stem is probably mediocre and the vase is probably decent and presents a good seal. The carry case is cheapo (just like what you would get with a nice expensive Mya Saray hookah). For the same price or 20 dollars more, you can get an exceptionally nice traditional Egyptian hookah from Social Smoke hookah. You can get a very nice modern Chinese-made Mya QT from MNHookah.com (and 20 other retailers!) for 50 dollars plus shipping (and then minus the hookah forum discount!).

What else are you looking at? We'd love to give you input on more hookahs you have been eye balling. And remember, just because it's traditional, doesn't mean it's a lame hookah. I've seen some shoddy looking Egyptian hookahs made from natural gas lines hit better than a lot of expensive hookahs. Conversely, I've seen some cheapo hookahs hit better than a hundred dollar hookahs.

I Realy dont know what i want. I dont want to spend more than sixty bucks that includes shipping. I know you cant put a price on a good smoke but I'm in college. And we all know college=poor. any suggestions.

well, the mini traditional egyptian at socialsmokehookah will cost you about $60 including shipping and comes with pretty much all the accessories you will need as well as some tobacco and coals. its a pretty decent price to get you started imho.
