Daleth
Hey everyone, this is my first review so be gentle. I recently got around to smoking some saet safa 2 apple. The ma'asell was very chunky, and somewhat wet. Found a couple good sized twigs in there. It did take a bit for the smoke to really get going, and when it did I was greeted with exactly what I expected double apple except that it was a bit weak. Other then that it was exactly as advertised, a double apple complete with the flavor of anise. The smoke did get thick, but overall I wasn't too impressed with this ma'assell. It was pretty standard double apple and that's where it failed, but it did leave me with a fairly nice buzz. I won't buy it again, instead I'll stick to romman when I want a good double apple. I give saet safa 2 apple a 7 out of 10 for being a mediocre ma'assell. Thank you all for sitting by while I experimented with my first review, feed back is appreciated. Seandoo
Wow I've never heard about the two brands coming from one factory. I just bought both as sampler packs in my search of a double apple that I'll enjoy, so over the next few days I guess I'll find out if they taste similar or what. alen
this is only what ive heard i dont know if its somekind of premium attempt from al waha but somewhere on this forum there was a thread about this but its over a year ago -and if you find out anything more about this please correct me if im wrong alen ps ill guess its the same as with the car industries many different brands but many have the same owner (hope you understand what i mean my english isnt the best)
Seandoo
Haha I get what you're saying Alen. Your English isn't bad at all - it took me a little while to realize you weren't from America. So I tried out my Saet Safa Two Apples this evening with my brother and we said the exact same thing you did Daleth. It was pretty good smelling haha but yeah there wasn't a whole lot of flavor going in. Man this stuff didn't last long though...45 mins tops, and it was completely charred literally to a crisp that I had to peel out of my bowl...nothing like the AF GS Esk I did last night, where it was still a moist, completely together round clump at the end. Was your smoke slightly tinted brown compared to some of the other top-end brands too? At least this stuff had no menthol in it like the Nakhla did that was gross. alen
mmmmmm fakher GS esk thats something yummm yummm -have you tried fakhers double apple ? thats a good one but not so much licorice but really ok - myself is totally freaked on the d-apple flavour i have had the most brands but i never tried rommans d -apple- but anyday now im gonna get a sample from king mo and then my boss have found a turkish brand with d - apple that i will get in a week or two so i just sitting here and wish the time could go a little faster Alen
Daleth
My wife and I love to experiment with different flavors but so far we've both been the happiest with double apple. But I'm open minded I'll try just about anything. Alen - Thanks for the kind words. I havn't tried al waha's double apple, but if it's anything like this saet safa, I'll be keeping away from it, not because it's bad but because it really wasn't anything. I highly recommend the romman d-apple I hope you like it as much as I do. Doug

Seandoo
Nah I haven't gotten around to trying Fakher's Two Apples yet but I have it sitting in front of me right now - smells pretty good so maybe I'll try it out tonight after my "vanilla buddies" leave. Hahaha I swear they think everything is gross except Layalina Vanilla so we're trying out Al Waha Vanilla for a change. Thanks for the suggestion though I'll check it out. So Sara 2x Apple's supposed to be off the hook too eh?
ZAP
Even Al-Amasi is made by Waha. Believe it or not, i've never tried any double apple flavour. I have an AF 50g pack somewhere so maybe I should....
mushrat
Apparently Sara is quite good, especially for a brand no one has ever heard of. One thing I think that makes a difference is I believe its honey based and not molasses. I think its smoother... Lemme know if you want to give it a try. Use Sara in the Search engine if you want to see the reviews.
John Deere
Romman is honey based too. (correct me if im wrong) Their double apple is up there on the list with food, air, and water imo.

alen
my boss said that he bought -red apple - green apple -double apple - cappuchino and i think he said banana too (i told him to stay away from the mixed fruit)
Seandoo
Whoa right on...those boxes really make it look yummy (as if you can really tell what it's going to taste like from looking at the packaging). Can't say I've ever heard of them but yea sounds definately interesting. Are there good mixed fruit flavors out there? My experience with mixed fruit is limited to Nakhla, which I find disgusting (Nakhla in general.)

alen
oh sorry the mixed fruit well i have only had one smokeble mixed fruit and that was the habibi but it wasnt so good either -ill guess im not the mixed fruit type but sometimes i smoke some but then i mix it myself- but i think the only reason they sell mixed fruit is to get rid of leftovers
cypress
Al Waha and Al Fakher have a descent mixed fruit. I prefer the AF one better.

Seandoo
=) Thanks guys...yeah AF seems to be one of the best versatile brands out there, so I might have to get myself a 50g box of the mixed fruit. Thanks again
