picked up an acide blonde from the smoke shop. man i have to say, this is HANDS DOWN the best cigar i have ever had. i have tryed many of the big ones including the opus x, but i have to say that this was perfect. the sweet flavor made it enjoyable all the way throught.
so am i the only one that likes these?
also im told punch has good flavored cigars. any opinions on what a good stick from them would be? becuase if they cant match the awsomeness that was the acid blonde than im going to get a box of these STAT

Yep Acid cigars are the deal. I have also tried Punch Grand Cru awhile back. It was great for the $8 price tag. You might also want to try La Flore Dominica. They are excellent. Especially the Maduro torpedos.

I don't smoke flavored cigars much, and have hated every Drew Estate that I've tried. The last one I had made me gag. The two flavors that I do smoke, every now and again, are CAO Flavours Moontrance and Eileen's Dream. I had these long before I actually start buying cigars, and some of my non cigar smoking friend happen to like them also.

My cigar de jour, at the moment, are the RP Missles and Vintage Series. CAO Black and Brazilia are also great cigars, but don't even bother touching any other CAO regular sticks with a 10 foot pole.

saying i know a friend of a friend crap is always annoying to do. my friend for the last i forget how many years but it was since 3rd grade. well her farther loves to smoke cigars and he loves cubans so he talks to his brother who lives in miami and has them imported illegally for himself. ah the fun of living so close to cuba and being able to get them here. always has about 5-7 boxes in his humidor.

Acid cigars are good. i've only had the Punch Cigarillo's and those are a decent smoke. but the best cigar i've ever had is a Fonseca. very, very smooth mild smoke. long lasting. and a very clean burn. both the Cuban, and Dominican Fonseca's are great and at a reasonable price. at my local smokeshop they're about $4.00 for a churchill.

I love Acids. Acid 1 is NOT flavored, and a DAMN good smoke. I also have a box of Wafes sitting in my humidor.

Try the Acid Roam, Acid 5, Acid Kuba Kuba and the Java.
Those are my all time favorite Drew Estate's.

Sorry, but I am gonna have to doubt your statement on this. About 90% of people who have said they smoked a cuban in the states, smoked a fake one. Also saying that your friends dad gets them from cuba definitely makes me know they are fake. Only retail shops out of the US buy from the island, Everyone who sneaks them in buys them from places like mexico, which is known for fakes, the carribean, and canada.

I am not trying to start an argument, its just a fact that 90% of cubans in the US are fake. It takes a trained eye to spot some really good fakes. I know I have smoked a fake cuban a few times when in mexico. But now that I smoke cubans quite often, living in UK, it is easier to spot fakes, because I have the real deal sitting in my humidor.

But, on Acid cigars, I like the Kuba ones. Every once in a while I like to change up my smoking and have an Acid, but I do not think I could smoke them all the time, too sweet and herbal for my taste Edited by oggie505#2

I have my doubts. It is the hardest thing to get cigars back from cuba. It is even harder to be allowed to goto cuba. You have to get permission from the US to go, then u have to go though another country to get there. Onc ethe US Customs sees that nice cuban visa stamp, they search you big time. So just being in miami, does not mean going to cuba is easier. IS there any way you can snap some pics of the boxes and the cigars themselves?? Especially the Cuban seal on the box

Edit: I guess we have gottne off topic..lol... I f you can get some pics lets jsut keep positing in the cigars thread Edited by oggie505#2

I was blown away the first time I smoked a Kuba Kuba and a Blondie. I couldn't believe the flavor. My all-time favorite Acid cigar is the one and only Cold Infusion Tea, or as I like to call it, the Cold Tea Infusion. Oh yeah!

When i go to the states in Nov, I think i am gonna try some other acid cigars, like i said, i like to have one evry now and then. but a word of caution, if you keep acids ina humidor with other cigars for a decent period the acid flavor could branch out to the other smokes, so keep them in a seperate container, in college i had an acid in my humidor for a month and when i grabed one of my other sticks, it smelt like my kuba, which was bad. The reason I mainly smoke the kuba's is i like a nice big ring guage

not a big fan of acid cigars, qualty is just not on par with others avaible in the US. The my friend from blah blah brings in cubans is pretty unlikely

1) to travel to cuba youd have to fly from somewhere other than the states, canada is really the clostest place you can easily fly there from.
2) most cuban cigars aren't sold in large quanitys in cuba due to out side demand
3) sounds like street vendor fakes from miami
4) having them shipped past customs is really the only way to get any in the states, and the feds still bust people (i know I am waiting for my letter!)

Since the cuban cigars are regulated by the cuban government, they even regulate the amount a tourist can take out of the country, i think it is like 2 boxes, or 100 loose cigars, proally not the exact numbers, but it is something like that

ok now wait this gives me a new question
are there reputable cuban dealers in canada that will ship to the u.s.?
i would hate to get a box of romeos and get fakes, the dominican ones just are not as good.

I would be very wary of buying them online. Alot of places will be sending you a fake. they just give real boxes, real labels and just put them on any ole cigar. Or they could be fakes from cuba, cuba make s alot of fakes basically backyard cigar rollers. Places that are legit are either reputable places, by that I mean big name places, like here in london, you have davidoff, dunhill, and James J. Fox. Other than that I woudl only order from places that are La Casa Del Habanos, these are authorized by the cuban government and will sell real ones. But you can take your chances, just remember 90% of cubans in the US are fakes, it is a known fact

this is illegal and I will stop all talk of isom purchasing from the states. Note even the most reputable of reputable dealers are being forced to give over sales records to the various gov't and some are recieving heavy back fines.

sorry mods/admins if i helped keep any thing going.

after doing 4 min of research i have found the following
it is in fact legal to bring back cubans if you have just returned from cuba
although you may find my post borderline, i feel it is within the bounds of our forum rules
i care not how the cigars got into the u.s., i assume they got here legaly (ahem)
now, since they are in the u.s. legaly how do i get some from? that was my question
i do care about this community though, therefore if a moderator feels that this were to go too far, i would be more than happy to edit my previous post without care, or concern

like he was saying most of them just put the fake logos and crap all over them, and if you have never had a real cuban there is no way for you to even tell if it is the real deal. I bet there are people out there who say they smoke cubans all the time but they end up being some cheap mexican knock offs and will or have never experienced a REAL cuban cigar
