boomhauer
anyone else been looking at this game coming out someday?http://www.g4tv.com/e32007/blog/post/67724..._Dead_Demo.htmlbasically its 4 survivors which are controlled by 4 people and hordes of zombies controlled by 4 people. you go almost in a versus but there are tons and tons of zombies. not like resident evil with only a few zombies. you get huge hordes of zombies coming at you and they are fast. the entire game is basically co-op and you HAVE to work together otherwise you will die and kill everyone else. looks like a cool game and something like 28 days later. Big Boss
That game actually looks really, really, really cool.
FelixLegion
I've always enjoyed the co-op games and Valve has never had an official one (to the best of my knowledge). I have to be honest the idea looked kinda tacky from the get-go.. but for me, the chaotic carnage factor (zombie rocking w/ 3 friends or visa-versa) outweighs basically anything. Theres nothing like the old "you die you drink" game, which usually lasts about 20 mins before you're like 10 deep and thinking "good lord, its only 6:45." It looks like another fun game to fool around with on top of the classics CS:S and DoD. Speaking of which.. the Team Fortress, Portals, and Episode 2 bundle looks pretty promising
buttpintoo
Episode 2, of course will be good, but when will it ever come out?Used to be die hard CS/DOD fan, and Left4Dead looks to play more like the Natural Selection thou, which is great. Def' the closest we'll get to a "28 Days Later" game, or a fast pace Resident Evil.

buttpintoo
Yep, just hope they don't delay again. So here's a question, which team would you want to try first? Humans or zommmbie.
boomhauer
i would try out the humans for the pure mayhem it has. we should make a group of people on the forums to play together
sdmopar
Graphics look pretty crappy. It would probably get old real quick
boomhauer
its not a "new" game, its made out of the source engine. it says that out of the wiki and the company says that too. new game mechanics and new skins but other than that its all source.never know how the game play is but who knows it may get old. look at CS it looks like shit yet people still play it. i find the game play on that to get incredible old fast. then there is HL which is old as hell and it looks really crappy yet people still play it for the extremely good balance it has. so everyone will wait and see how this game is. hopefully it he hectic so people get confused a lot which keeps the game play "fresh" constantly Edited August 3, 2007 by boomhauer
buttpintoo
From the interviews with the makers, Left4Dead has a AI "game director", which adjusts the pacing of the frantic zombie attacks so as not to be dull or overwhelming (i.e. the brain dead Serious Sam.) I really think that the mix of AI and human enemies would keep things interesting.
