hookahcompany

Recommended Posts

tried out hookahcompany for my latest shipment of flavours and accessories.

I must say it was fantastic service, although for some reason there was
a problem with my credit card, so I paypal-ed them instead.

Received the items, and a free tub of Al waha due to the size of the
order, as well as an upgrade to one of my packs from a 50g to a 250g
which was nice of them :)

I must say a great experience, with decent prices and a great
selection. Looks like my new company from now on, having tried
southsmoke, social, and hookah-shisha.

So far, I had emailed them 3 times with various questions and have gotten a prompt response. He (George) is someone who came on here once and advertised his business. He said something to the effect of wanting our business and was willing to earn our business. He is one of the few shisha business men out there who is obviously serious. I think he will be one of the few I actually pay. Well, I pay all who I order from, but you know what I mean. Don't hesitate to try and contact him!

Ive always thought it best to buy from my local store, because i can actually talk to the people. However not everybody can do that. All my freinds however suggested that i use hookah company, so u must be doing something right

is the hookah.com?  I have had a not so good experience with them.  I ordered over the phone, sent a MO, THEN found out after I had to email them asking 3 weeks later where my stuff was that ACTUALLY they were OUT of stock what they told me over the phone that they had....
so now they are mailing me a refund.  oh well.  not totally bashing but not exactly enthused by my experience.
oh yeah, Happy 4th everyone!!

I buy allot of stuff on the Internet, living in the sticks it is hard to find anything. it has bugged me with some of the company's i have ordered from how long it takes them to get around to ship my order but i have learned to read the policies a company has on shipping before i order from them. i have ordered from hookahcompany twice now and both times it took them 2 days to get my order shipped and both orders were packed well. i had a small problem with my first order and gave George a call and it was taken care of fast.
all in all i am happy with hookahcompany though they could be a bit faster getting the orders out the door. reporting this to the BBB would be a waste of time because their shipping policy is right their and as long as they get it out the door within 5 business days from the time you placed the order they are in the right. yep it really sucks waiting for something you paid for but that is something i have learned to live with when ordering off the net because it is the only way for me to get what i want.

I would be chill if It was ground but it's called PRIORITY for a reason.

believe me i do understand what your saying i would be pissed if i paid for priority 2 day shipping and had to wait longer than that for them to get it out the door. i mean if you think about it if you had ordered from a company that did same day shipping and you used ground shipping you probably would get your order in about the same time for allot less in shipping charges.
unfortunately the priority in priority 2 day shipping pertains to after it leaves the shippers door not how long it takes them to get around to shipping it. best thing i can say is strike it up as a learning experience let your opinion be known as you have done here but try to stay civil and others may chime in with the same opinion. if the company sees that their customers are unhappy with their service and their competition is going to get more business because of it they may change their policy to fit their customers needs.

I think George will take heed of this and adjust a little. I can only go by inmpressions I gathered from communicating with him. They are a rather new company and really want to do good. I think alot of stores have a contract with the carriers. It wouldn't shock me if part of the contract were pre-set pickup times for packages. However after they get your box on the truck, it probably builds up speed with 2 day shipping. Anyone have experience with UPS/FEDEX/DHL contracts? Ooh, DHL are great competition for UPS too.

you have to chill a little,
when it gets to the status of huge multinational corporation, then I can imagine it's worth getting your knickers in a twist about it, otherwise, just ask to be compensated for the shipping or something, I'm sure they can arrange something.
I am one for encouraging small companies, and a bit more tolerant when it comes to this kind of thing as long as it's within reason.

Mo, you can upgrade the shipping if you want too.  Instead of
having the slow ass 9 day one for $35, I paid an extra $12 for 3-4
days.  Just email him if you want to upgrade shipping.

But definately top notch service from him!

I ordered some stuff from them a week ago, and then asked about it a few days ago. They said they were gonna ship it yesterday... Still no shipping notification or tracking number. I am becoming not so sure about them.

hmm..thats unusual..but not unheard of. Ask for george when you call back if thats not who you spoke with. Tell him of your problems and concerns...
sometimes it helps to go straight to the top.

I emailed them and the reply came from info@, with just "Customer Service" as signiture. I guess I'll have to call them, I just have to wait because of the time difference. They wrote something like the only vase they had was cracked and had to be thrown out, but seriously I wouldn't mind if they substituted a different color or slightly different style, or at least told me the correct date when it will be available. I understand if they have to re-order stuff, but a) they could note on the site that item is temporaily out of stock; B) contact me that they cannot ship on time and ask about substituting something else c) not tell me it is going to ship when it is not. Especially the last part bothers me. Anyway, I'll call them. Even the best-run company can have a glitch sometimes :-)

Exactly. George is a guy, just like all of us. He has bad days and good days, but he is serious about taking care of his customers. I won't sell my tobacco through retailers whom I don't respect. I want their level of customer service to represent my level of customer comittment. George always manages to impress me with his effort and comittment. Give them a chance and talk to him if you have a problem, he won't disappoint. Everybody will have something that slips through the cracks, what really matters is what happens when they do, I think.
