Aluminum Foil Causes Alzheimer's?

Recommended Posts

I read somehwere that using regular household aluminum foil for covering your bowls causes alzheimer's disease in the future. I guess the foil gives off some sort chemical or something. The site said always use aluminum foil made for hookahs.(like the pre cut ones) I forgot where i saw this article but i was wondering what you all think. huh.gif

Yup, it is very difficult for Aluminum to be absorbed in the body without ingesting or vaporizing it. I used to trip over this all the time. Anyways, I think you kill more brain cells holding in massive hits than from Aluminum itself.

+1 on the search, this has been discussed so many times

yerp, even just like a week ago. the conclusion was the melting point was too high and the coal heat too low for the alum to cause any harm.

Monsta.

I am normally the last person to come out with the 'use the search' answer.

But this has been done, about once every 3 weeks, to death.

Bottom line - foil is probably safe. You cook with it at high temperature, using it as
a barrier betwixt foil & tobacco should not create many problems.

Good luck!

In many countries, outside the US, they use aluminum salts for water purification and those people that drink that water have 20-30X the amount of aluminum in their bodies as we do...and they don't get Alzheimer's any more than anyone else.
