Al Waha Reviews/Favorites

Recommended Posts

I've been looking all over the place, (and yes i've tried the search)
but i can't find nearly anything on the
Al Waha flavors as far as reviews. So I'm making a thread, either post
your thoughts on their flavors, or post a link to such content.
Al Waha is what my hookah store carries the most variety of, so just
looking for some help on it, so i don't have to try them all. Thnx Everyone.

I have tried Al Waha double apple, jasmine, and honey.  The double
apple was very pleasant and mild, with pretty good smoke thickness and
very little to no harshness.  The jasmine was pretty good as well,
but I am not a big fan of the more flowery flavors, and this definitely
fits into that category.  Quite strong and just a little bit
harsh.  I am actually looking to trade about 50g of the jasmine
(what I have left) if anyone is interested.  The honey is my
favorite of the Al Waha flavors I have tried.  Very sweet (but not
overpowering), smooth, nice thick smoke, and no harshness.  And
the smell after the smoke... awesome.  I actually love EATING
honey as well, so I might be a bit biased .  Hope this helps.

Hi
I have only tried Al Waha lemon, and i personally liked it. It was a
very light, mellow smoke with a flavour similar to "lift" or Schweppes
Traditional lemonade. It was the first hookah i ever had and did not
feel any type of buzz or dizziness in my head, so its a nice smoke to
have on a lazy afternoon on the weekend. So if your up for something
heavy or deeply relaxing, then its not going to do the job. The smoke
density was good, but not great; better than Nakhla but not thick
clouds like Al Fakher. Overall, i would recommend this smoke from Al
Waha, hope this helps

Al Waha and Nakhla are on the same level of quality and rpice, Nakhla
is more flavorful and stronger, Al Waha is much milder and less finicky
as far as burning, so it would would be a good choice for a newbie but
you will soon be desiring something better.

Negative Ghost Rider, the pattern is full... There is no way anyone can
put Al Waha on the same level as Nahkla. Now I'm not saying that Al
Waha is better than Nahkla because everything is personal preferance,
but just from looking at the two brands, Al Waha has a much finer cut
of tobacco, is a lot wetter than Nahkla, and IMO is a lot stronger than
Nahkla.

I don't understand why people say Al Waha has little to no flavor.
Maybe they are just used to higher end brands, but Al Waha is by no
means a low end brand. At my local market, Al Waha is mid level at 5.99
for 250g, and Nahkla is 3.99 for 250g.

I also would agree that Al Waha is a good beginner smoke being cheaper,
but certainly isn't limited to just beginners. I have smoked everything
from Nahkla, Al Waha, Al Amir, Romann, to Al Fahker and can say that
yes, Romann and Al Fahker are great smokes, Al Waha still makes up most
of my tobacco collection. Price is a major factor but I wouldn't smoke
it if it was a horrible brand. So I hope people don't dismiss Al Waha
because they hear from others that its a cheap crappy smoke. Give it a
shot. Al Waha comes in tons of flavors.

(all flavors below are Al Waha)

Favorite Flavor: Cola, Grape, Strawberry.

Favorite Mixers: Lemon, Mint, Cola. These flavors can mix well with any Al Waha flavor (IMO).

Favorite Mixs: Grape-Cola, Grape-Pineapple, Grape-Lemon.

Least favorite Flavors: Rasberry (way too strong and borders on harsh),
Double Apple (extremely too strong. I'm confused to why others say its
a mild good flavor. The Anise is way too overpowering).

So yes I know that everything is personal opinion but hope that
everyone gives Al Waha a try. I believe that for its price, there is
atleast a few flavors out there that everyone can enjoy.

Finer cut, are you kidding? I have found 2 inch square sheets of tobacco and 3 inch stems in my Al-Waha. I've never had anything that bad in Nakhla. And it really seems that the strngth of the smoke varies form person to person, there are people who said they've got spinning headaches from Sultan and Splash. I tried them and got nothing. Nakhla has always been the only tobacco can actually give me a buzz, which it hasn't in awhile since I've got so used to it.

Oh and I wasn't bashing Al-Waha, it's a perfectly good, mild smoke. I'm just stating the fact in my experience Nakhla has had a finer cut than Al-Waha, Al-Waha still smokes fine and is a brand I reccomend, just clearing that up.

Hmm, perhaps the tobacco I get is coming from just one of Al Waha's few
manufactures? I do agree that I get my fair share of stems, but tobacco
wise I haven't ever seen large sheets in my Al Waha. But a quick
question. What type of container of Al Waha do you get? I know everyone
is pretty used to seeing their plastic 250g tubs, but have you seen
their 250g sort of metal tins with a plastic lid on it? They tin tubs
are a little bit smaller than their plastic ones, but carry the same
amount, but I have noticed that the two contain very different textures
of tobacco.

I've also noticed that in these tin tubs, the tobacco is 5x wetter than
their plastic tubs, and seem to have a finer cut than the plastic tubs.
Just saying this may be the reason why we don't agree on their cut.

And yes, I fully agree that the strength of smoke very much varies from
person to person. Its all in the pack :) Everyones got their own
techniques so we can't expect everyone else to get the same results as
ourselves.

I think I'm gunna have to try that Honey flavor as mentioned above. I
noticed it in the store I go to, but thought a  honey flavor might
seem a little boring, but I'll give er' a shot ;)

[quote name='MR Bubble']My favorite Al Waha is the 5 star mix. Some don't
like it and believe it has a chemical taste. Some love it because being
so complex makes it a fun smoke.

I do enjoy the taste of the 5 star mix, but for some reason to me its
too strong. Not too harsh, but it makes me want to cough from being
such a strong flavor. It ends up being ok after 20 mintues or so, when
the tobacco gets warmed up and a little crispy, but too much for me
before that.
