thirdking
I generally smoke outside because I worry that the smoke will collect on windows, etc, inside. When I get tobacco should I acclimate it outside where I smoke, or inside where I store it? I ask because I have a bunch of Nakhla coming in the mail and I want it to smoke perfect .Thanks for the input. Sonthert
Acclimate outside...I don't think smoke won't collect on the windows or anything.
thirdking
Okay will do. So smoking inside doesn't leave like.... residue... or anything? Only reason I thought this was the case was because smoking cigarettes does.

Allia22
My mom proved to me that smoking hookah does indeed leave a film. She wrote "Hi" on the window with her finger >.< Also, I made a nice blue haze on the windshield of the car when I used to smoke in there all the time. thirdking
Okay good to know, maybe I'll start smoking inside, that'll make for better rings !Edit: Hmm after reading Allia's post I'm not so sure Edited August 9, 2007 by thirdking
Sonthert
Oh, it leaves a residue, but its refluxed glycerine. It washes right off...unlike cigarette residue which is not water-soluble.Edit: in fact the residue can be collected and used as a skin softener. Glycerine (glycerol) is used in most skin and hair care products. Edited August 9, 2007 by Sonthert

Back to the acclimation, does it matter if i acclimate it outside one day and then the next the humidity etc, changes? Will that cause humidity shock? MechAnt
Yes sir it will. I try to smoke only when the weather is consistent.
thirdking
I guess i'll just acclimate my bowl every time I smoke. I live in Portland, so the weather right now changes too often to acclimate outside. Oh well.
pboyle
So does this mean Allia's mom has silky smooth fingertips?Acclimate where you are going to smoke. Be it in or outside. Its like giving a goldfish a chance to get used to the water before dropping him in the bowl.
